HI guys well it has been a good xmas so far

cleaner came today - we went out to give her space. she has agreed to work for me directly as soon as I can get out of my current contract with her agency. She is going to work fortnightly directly for me and then fortnightly for them at mine until then. I offered to split the saving I'd make so she was happy with that.

I've got OH's family coming over new years day for a meal but really it is to celebrate DS's birthday which is next week.

Hi guys - nice day again today... despite risking 1kea. I got a birthday pressie for DS he needs - and a couple of new units for our front room which match our new colour scheme and which should make playing on the xbox kinect easier.... OH has put the unites together - I managed to get front doors in red and "beam thro" glass which hopefully will help things match into the room but without needing us to have everything on show either. We will still have room for 4 shelves of DVDs and the odd video. Need to persuade OH to rehouse my lovely liatorp (current cupboard into his study). It was nearly £300 albeit 5 years ago and I still like it - it just didn't really work as a media centre....

Need to unload the old unit and move the new one in place and transfer the xmas tree to the other side of the fire place!

Also nipped to M&S and spent too much (of food for Sunday). Need to check on the joint and other items I am planning to serve on new years day and see if I still need anything else. I would like some strawberries still if I could get hold of them... Leeks and mushrooms would be nice too.

Kids and OH enjoyed their day.

Have been investigating getting a dog as kids still nagging for one... Having read up on the internet tho - think would need to time with either a 2 week holiday or preferably the summer holidays so DS could help train and look after it the first few weeks while we are at work... Would also give us some time to save...
