Oh and I took 3 things back to tesco and was able to swap them for a xmas pressie for OH so was pleased with that. And as part of my good deed I also visited sainsbugs and my favourite cardigan was 25% off in a different colour so really pleased with that too.... Yes of course I bought one!! I also nipped to my favourite chain of pubs for our tea so not a bad day at all.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

The good news is that we now have some xmas pressies up and OH has moved the boxed up DVDs and books back to the lounge. The bad news is the boxes haven't been unpacked
The good news is that OH took and picked up DS from youth club tonight - the bad news is I got stuck doing DD's hair and despite chopping her hair and spending hours with a nit comb the other night she appears to have a fresh crop of tiny ones although none were moving so its possible they are just residue! She begged to go to bed however, which I kindly {insert raised eye brows here} allowed on the condition that she lets me go through her hair again tomorrow... Surely it must be OH's turn???
Everyone at church loved her hair and felt I had done a very professional job - they would never have guessed it was me that had done it. My friend who'd had her over for a sleep over a week ago - sent me a text yesterday to say she'd found headlice in her daughter's hair too:eek::eek::eek:! Luckily she caught them early.... I think I'm going to have to say something at school.
DS found a couple in his hair too yesterday which means in an ideal world I should check his hair thoroughly but in all honesty I don't have the energy... Just the thought of it is making my head crawl... or is that something else:eek::eek::eek:
Back to the good news - I have just put 2 orange loaves in the oven so that feels good. Looking forward to eating them.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well the orange cake was lovely.
Feel like I've done tons of washing. Still got stuff in the washer and dryer and waiting for stuff to dry on hangers too. DD, DS and OH have all helped sort clean clothes today into piles - but still not put away.....
I think I am going to try and get an early night if I can...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

You sound very busy at the moment SH. Hope you find some time to relax as well.
Is the arm a lot better now?DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Hi Tirl - life feels very hectic!! I feel bonelessly tired - and am comfort eating which is really bad for my weight and fitness - or should I say what fitness!
My arm is okay in that it isn't stopping me doing anything any more - think there is still underlying pain but its masked by painkillers still taking relating to Operation. Got specialist appointment early Jan. I think I could probably start to cut down the painkillers I am on but thinking of waiting until the weekend to try that as don't want to have a problem mid week.
OH got a phone call today our suite is going to arrive in store beginning of next week - should have been this week - they will then give us a call to arrange delivery. Its gone absolutely manic at work again
DD did well at the school play. I got the kids to help unpack some boxes so the dvds and books are starting to be back in the right place. My cleaner may be coming tomorrow - I'm not sure so need to check to see what money I have lying around to see if I can pay her - if not could do with nipping out to get some....
Given big bags of stuff away for the school fair... trying to persuade DS and DD they want to give away more... chipping away. I've kept a few favourite videos - we have one of those dual players - but given the other half away....
OH and the kids did sort some of the clean washing into piles the other day but didn't do the final bit of putting it away which soooooo does my head in!!
I also need to arrange to get a repeat prescription tomorrow which is a pain in the proverbial....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I did arrange to get a repeat prescription organised so need to pick up tomorrow
Am absolutely shattered - did a 10.5 hour day today - just seems to have gone manic at work. I was home so late I let DD stay up an extra hour or she wouldn't have seen me. Have loads to do tomorrow but am due to be in meetings for at least half the day so not sure when I am supposed to fit anything in!
OH thinks I am coping well - and although I am tired - mental health wise I feel fine. My xmas tree looks gorgeous. Want to put the window lights up at the weekend and I splashed out a whole £9 yesterday on some outdoor lights for a tree in the front garden so want to get those up as well. I've put both kids on an electronics ban in the hope it spurs them on to tidy their rooms... I can only hope! I could see DS's desk surface again yesterday which was the first time in ages....
OH was going to put up our new family photo on the wall but our drill has gone missing - no idea if we lent it to someone but it has disappeared which is gutting!
Need to go and take tablets and go off to bed. I am pleased too... all this hard work has helped me bring my bedtime forward an hour to more like midnight which is an improvement.... Next step is to try and get it to 11pm which I think is a good time during a working week and might then help me get up and out at a decent time and home earlier!! Well I finished about 7pm tonight only to be dragged out to a school fair! I did win a raffle tho which made up for my spendings and by the time I arrived things were half price and DD got some bargains later for only 10p so I reckon I got more back than I spent LOL
I am another 6 hours up flexi time wise so things are going well - and I am coping....

Really pleased - went round mr as with 2 trolleys - so will get 2 x £5 vouchers....
Was able to use £6 off today's shop too.
Quite a bit of the shop was focused on getting drinks and nibbles and stuff in for next week as I am having relatives over
