    Hi Lucielle

I eventually did some painting - and OH and DS and DD joined in at least for a while

Made a start just as OH arrived back from church. Ended up nipping out for better quality gloss paint - only to find my bank card was still at home - luckily had enough cash for the paint had to leave some other stuff tho. I've only just stopped - everyone else stopped after 2 - 4 hours

    Hi guys

Well worked a pretty much full day today. I am in some pain but think that's cos I didn't get up and stretch enough during the day.

I weighed myself this morning which gave me a fright! I am at my heaviest ever!! Need to tackle that but feel starving at the moment.... I don't think the medication I am on is helping from that perspective as some of them are know for weight gain issues...

I was hoping to go out tonight but a) not been in long b) not yet had my tea and c) OH would have to go and get DS from air cadets which would mean keeping DD up

Hi SH. Try not to do too much just because you're feeling better. Or at least try to take more 'down time' too.

Join me in my Healthy November to kick start better habits! I've plowing on with being slightly heavier than normal for at least half a year but have not taken the necessary steps to make any real difference to it. But this is the month I'm going to do it because I want to take back control before Xmas is on us.

    You're doing well SH!

Thanks Tirl - body keeps forcing me to slow down LOL. Starting to worry that upper abdomen pain may be related to something other than my operation so will try and get to doctors Thursday and see if I can get an appointment. Problem is with potential promotion at work -don't want to raise any health flags that could scupper things!! OH has booked Thursday off to hopefully get more painting done and move furniture around etc...

Had appointment to see consultant today - and was expecting x-ray or physical test re my arm - but instead have to go back another day for that which when you are coming from work to see someone is just annoying!! Had to get a friend to go with me today as sister was unable to and MIL couldn't come either. Luckily we get on really well and were able to have a good catch-up. She has been a real blessing to me as we've got to know each other over the last year - and she apparently described me to her OH as her soul mate... Nice when you have a two-way relationship....

Just had a very cheap dinner. Heated up frozen chicken kiev, chips and peas. About 75p a head... Not bad at all..... Had a McD happy meal for dinner as was in a rush - and had coffee with friend at hospital.

    Hi guys

Well had a really good if long day. Was really pleased coped well - and pain minimal so some extra tablets I tried seem to be working... Have also lost some weight which has cheered me up.

My cleaner came today - I explained on a note that we were in the middle of decorating and suggested some areas to target - and she did amazing! I'd forgotten she was coming today by the time I got home so it was a lovely surprise... Doublely handy as a friend popped round to spec out the hall, stairs and landing area for painting the ceilings for me... Bless! OH of the friend I went to the hospital with yesterday. We do have some good friends!

Definitely need to sort out a nice pressie for my cleaner - she is stunningly good (and non judgmental)!! Our house was a tip - and all she said on her note back to me was"good luck with the decorating and I don't envy you!!"

Currently watching Kirsty's Handmade Britain while waiting for my tea to cook. Despite coming home after 7pm - I was the one that organised the microwaving of everyone else's tea.... I am cooking some macaroni milk for my tea

    Hi guys

Well I passed my OHU appointment so hopefully my difficulties this year won't stand in the way of promotion... still waiting to hear what the process will be

Worked a full week and even accrued a little flexi time this week so definitely improving.

Got paid today - got my expenses and some tax back which is always nice especially in the run up to xmas!! Need to start claiming expenses regularly again. I have more planned trips out so it is likely that I will have more to claim although I do try and visit several people in one area on the same day where I can.

My friend did a photo shoot for us earlier this year - the photos have arrived from the printers and look stunning whether in quartz acrylic or a fine art print in a cheap frame. So really pleased. Think MIL will be made up with her pressie and I am sure my parents will be pleased with their one too. My friend wants to take pictures of how the same picture looks in different frames so need to let her do that before I wrap them.... I've ordered ours today - the one I got for us comes to just over £63 with courier.... (pre MSE on a photo from Venture that wasn't much bigger we paid £660!!)

Bought some more xmas pressies today. Almost finished. Still need to know what buying OH and he still needs to get pressies for me....

He's working tomorrow, so I'm looking after the kids by myself. Ideally need to try and get rid of the 3 seater tomorrow to the youth centre and then that would give us a bit more space to move.... I am still debating whether to paint the ceiling in at least the lounge but it would be an awful lot easier if we could move some of the furniture out of the room.

So much to do still before new floor Tuesday... We still need to get the tiles up from the floor in the hallway - but OH was using my hair drier to get them to heat up enough to unstick and then they were breaking up... He reckons there is 4 or 5 hours work.... I am reluctant to do too much on that too soon as where the tiles have come up it is really sticky... He suggests using decorating clothes on it and then he'll just underlay over the top... I am tempted to leave it until Monday night tho so there's less time spent walking or messing with a sticky floor!!

Hi Lu and Gill and thanks for the good wishes

I have been to church today and spent the afternoon batch cooking as we've had too many meals out or takeaways recently. Trying to remove temptation at source by making sure good food can be served quickly. Still need to finish emptying out relevant rooms downstairs... OH did practically nothing on that this weekend so it looks like its tomorrow night's job! OH is off for the two days while the floor is being fitted so I'm sure he can do some of it then too. Will need to take carpet and underlay to tip etc.... He wanted a skip but I said I couldn't afford the £100 or there are nicer things I want to spend £100 on

One of my sister's has asked me to do some xmas shopping for her so that should mean we actually get what we want which is always good.

Done 3 loads of washing today and DD has a friend over to play. OH did one trip to the tip and finished making dinner but that was his sole contribution and took DD's friend home help-wise... On top of washing, cooking I also did a quick shop. Quite pleased tho as came in at just over £60 so getting better.

Hi guys well flooring is now down in lounge and half of the hall. OH was up until 3am stripping the hall floor of the cheap tacky glued on stuff that was down before. I was up until about 1am before calling it a day.

I had a good day at work today tho. OH was here overseeing things. Everything going well so far.

Likely to get an interview for promotions at work but could be any time between now and xmas. So bought some interview trousers £13 mr As and tried on interview jacket (planet) tonight with an M&S top and think I look OK. I also bought some shoes for a whole £14. So at least if I get an interview at short notice I have some suitable clothes. Still weigh too much but things are improving and was able to wear a waistband all day today in the right place without it hurting. Have been able to cut back on painkillers again and am coping much better at work so on the right path.

DS was still off sick today as in pain - feeling guilty not taken to doctors yet... probably should try and get him an appointment. OH still has to sort out withdrawing the money. Hope that goes okay. All being well the flooring should be finished tomorrow. After that apparently we need to "felt" the bottom of the furniture so it doesn't scratch the floor. Anyone know if I can use ordinary felt - or do I have to pay rip off merchant prices on sticky bit of double felt....? Probably should have gone to pound shop.... got stuff from dunelm!!
