Hi guys - well worked an almost full day today so pleased with that. Did some travelling too with limited pain repercussions. A week a go my stomach would have hurt just from the seatbelt whereas for OH's appointment and today's drive I wasn't particularly aware of that as an issue so things are improving:).
Found out - will be doing extra work for no extra pay- a bit gutted TBH as I felt I had been led to believe would be upgraded for at least the part of the week where I was working at a higher level. I got management speak back for why they can't do that... But possible promotion opportunities have arisen within the team so intend to go for those
- the worst they can do is say no at the end of the day. I know I am capable of more so would like opportunity to demonstrate that and will in all honesty be rather gutted if I don't get anything out of it. I think if it doesn't work out I will need to put more efforts into my business idea as I want more money.:money: There is also a maternity cover coming up which is potentially more money so that might also be a possibility.... But money is so tight everywhere at the moment who knows whether they will fill it?!

- Order new flooring and agree dates OH left message yesterday but no response yet - ideally will chase up tomorrow
- Chase up new sofa dates
- Take insurance docs, driving licence and MOT info into work so can claim expenses ok - found most of it just missing one MOT certificate
- Try to get OH to submit expenses claim to his work for around £20 - every little helps
- Carry on painting, decorating, running a family, serving meals, doing the washing, working full time etc :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Also need to ring friend about roman blind as missed her call yesterday.
Well today paid car loan with CC balance transfer thus savings lots of interest! They wanted 8.4% apr - our transfer was 4% for 12 months so much better.:money: Hopefully we will be disciplined enough to pay it quicker too
Gone thro our banking. Its looking okay. Cancelled one DD which was nice but decided to increase an STO to something else. Professional indemnity insurance costs have started hitting - really must do something with my business otherwise its just a money pit!! Still don't have new bank account details thro.
Ideally this weekend we need to sort thro paperwork - file what we can and send off other stuff... including to Inland revenue!!:eek:Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well managed to get up at a decent time today. And I've even had breakfast already so if I get a scoot on I might even make it into work for 10 which would be good.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Good luck with the pay rise! Everything crossed for you. And well done on the transfer - sounds like a good saving. :T0

HI Miz - the transfer was definitely the way to go - much cheaper...
Got to work at a decent time. Talked to boss about promotion - needed to send some supporting docs thro at some point. Have printed myself a load of stuff off to read... If you don't try you never get so let's hope it at least moves me forward
Went out to a soggy bonfire night at church - had quite a good chat with a few people and the kids enjoyed it... Cost me a tenner donation towards burgers and sausages for the family so that was okay. DS going to fireworks at a friend's house tomorrow... Someone else at the site was doing a tabletop sale so also picked up some fancy xmas cards and some little soaps which will look great in my hampers.... and smell yummy! £2 each for little bags of 5 or 6 soaps
Trying to get photo collage sorted for MIL's birthday... Only thing I can get her really that she is likely to appreciate!! Will see how the one for her turns out before deciding what to get for us!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Been painting again is in preparation for the flooring going down at the end of November... its amazing how much skirting board exists in a house!! The front door looked tatty so have also repainted that as it was down to the bare wood in a few places where it had got scuffed.... Think it might need odd bits touching up. My neighbour gave me free tickets for town bonfire and firework display so OH took DD to see it... Of course at the time she came round I was in my painting clothes and had my hair in a sequined shower cap to protect it from paint... Must have looked fab ROFL
I have also painted the doors in my downstairs loo (it has 2 one into it and one into the downstairs loo). It means tho I have spent quite a bit of time painting in a confined space and my throat is now protesting. I have also put masking tape up and painting the ceiling, as well as retouching some of the grey on the walls - including any white paint splatters that got past the tape!! Still need to do the floor skirting board - want to mask that off first tho
Having a short break.... We had a chinese for tea... I felt I deserved it as a treat given that we are not paying decorators!! OH has said he is too tired to help with painting this weekend. He has had quite a rough week - and had 3 early starts planned for next week without any early finish so have some sympathy. He's also been out with the kids two nights on a run which is a record.... He did make dinner at my request so that was a result too.
Getting food shop delivered on Monday night. Need to decide what want to eat tomorrow and put it out to defrost... DS has been out to a friend's to see fireworks but is now also home.
Got the heating on to compensate for the front door still being open!!! and to try and get the paint to dry quickerAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well have just hung replacement mirror for the one I broke a couple of weeks ago while decorating... Hope this one stays up. Rehung picture in downstairs loo too! One of the other pictures I took down - needs a new hook system for the frame as it came apart in my hands when I took it down which was very frustrating!
Ideally looking for a new picture for either near the front door or an extra picture for downstairs loo... Probably already have suitable ones in the house it is just a matter of framing / moving them
I want to try and persuade kids family /friends to contribute to xbox kinect and games for xmas but am open to suggestions on cheapest place to buy. Mr Ts or Amazon look cheapest so far but DS reckons G@me offer good deals when you go in the shop. But want some kind of commitment to family to co-fund it before prepared to buy it... Especially as considering getting DS a new computer chair for birthday after xmas which would be about £60 - altho my parents would consider getting him that I think they woud worry he wouldn't like it enough.... so it's one of those deal things....
OH has agreed one of his pressies can be a controller - DD is happy to have some kinect games as part of her pressies...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Found best deal to be Mr Ts.... for kinect bundle - my parents have made commitment to buy in - and they've sold out!!! Gutted!:eek: Deal runs out tomorrow.... Oh well will have to see if another good deal comes along...
Had good day other than that. Worked 20 mins short of full day altho ended up having to take more painkillers because of it....
Got OH to do dinner, put groceries away including mopping up the spill of a shloer bottle the driver dropped. Also got him to pick up DS from air cadets - result:T
Ordered photos for MIL - expensive framing for her 70th and print only and cheap frame for my parents LOL:j Friend worked hours resizing it so it was perfect bless her- 2 hours or more from when I ordered it as well as other points in the weekend!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
