Relative has just been to officially measure up the floor - so hopefully will get a final quote and a date to work to soon. He's giving us his discount which is positive.
Slept badly again last night despite being really tired. I have not done any painting for the last 2 days and think that is part of the problem - the painting at least switched my mind off. I think as well we've been spending scary amounts of money recently - and although I agree my decisions with OH it is still me that presses the final button to make something happen. I've been reducing my painkillers re my operation, only to find that my arm is aching more which is worrying. Altho yesterday I took a second diclofenac related to my operation. I didn't take enough paracetamol during the day tho so intend to "fix" that today.
I got all excited yesterday as I looked online and officially have £72.50 in clubcard vouchers... I thought I had about £40 - thought I could double them up to spend on the kinect but no that doesn't come under toys and games or electricals?! Huh?
My parcel arrived yesterday - for one of my xmas pressies for my relatives - need to go and collect it from the neighbours and then should really do make-up and go to work!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi guys well I've worked 2 almost full days now just about 10 mins short so really pleased with myself. Back on double diclofenac - for some reason any compression of my abdomen (eg wearing a bra or even trousers) hurts... but is controllable with meds. Not felt like I'm sleeping well but OH says I am asleep when he comes to bed about half an hour after me so I think perhaps its a waking up problem.
Been to sainsbugs tonight and got a new scarf and gloves for me and some hair bands and elastics for DD.... Was going to get another lovely cardi but they didn't have my size available in the ones I wanted so didn't bother.... I did see a possibilty in the M&S sale but probably shouldn't get it... May see if it is still there tomorrow and if it is try it on and if it looks good take it as a sign.
Still not ordered xbox kinect - still want to talk to OH's mum first. I have however spent 3 hours masking off areas to paint and then glossing.... Really hoping that's enough for a good night's kip!!
Still doing Mr A's guarantee - got £6.04 this week with the £5 bonus on top of the bonus I got from the unexpected spend on Sunday. Now need to make best use of it....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi guys well did sleep well last night. All the time I was doing the decorating I was trying to talk/think myself thro my interview assuming I get an interview for the available jobs at work.... I've got an "informal chat" with a key person today :eek:altho the formal closing date isn't until Friday.
I've looked at my glossing from last night - large sections are fine - but there are a few bits I definitely need to touch up.:o I always find daylight much better for any kind of painting - you don't get the same picture when you do it at night - there are always bit in shadow you can't quite see if you've done properly.
DD was made up with her hairbands and new elastics so that was nice(she didn't realise there was a conection between the gift and the recent head lice incident LOL:rotfl:). I still need to recheck her hair again at some point.... She says she doesn't have a problem any more but she would wouldn't she..... !
Want to do the glossing touching up tonight and then ideally do some more glossing. We also still need to do the study and lounge walls in magnolia - and a friend is coming to help with the ceilings -probably next week. We think that if we get a date at the end of November for the flooring - we may give our 3 seater sofa away early as it will make moving things around easier. The guy doing the floor said we could move the settee around the room as he did it - that would mean we just need to put our two shelving units in the kitchen, plus the hall contents and the contents of OH's study.... But he said as one bit was done we could move other bits back so it may not be as bad as we think.
Still need to chase up a date for the sofas we've heard nothing more on them....
I'm also waiting for the car confirmation of payment letter to come thro but heard nothing yet.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Did work a full day today. Had a good talk to someone about the vacancy at work. Did a bit more preparation on my application.
Was too tired to do any painting but have a deadline now as flooring arrives 22nd Nov!!! EEK! OH had better help as so far he has been pretty useless!! I can hear him snoring thro the floor which is hardly an incentive to go to bed LOL!
Mr Ts now have stuff back in stock - not quite as good a deal as at the weekend but still cheaper than elsewhere and with a couple of games DD will like even if DS doesn't! MIL has agreed to contribute towards DS getting it too so that's positive and takes the pressure off.
The media furniture unit I wanted seems to have gone up £100 unless I read the price wrong at the weekend... either way I will have to wait for the price to come down.... Not having a lot of luck.
Have bought a load of games off amazon as was by far the cheapest....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Anyway off to bed now
Also got some vouchers from CC for £6 plus £5 offer if use card in store - may need to ring up for my pin LOL
And £6.50 from clubcard so that was good too.
Parked for free again yesterday and today and got away with it so that was positive... Feel brain working again....
Watched most of iron man with DS tonight which was nice but kind of feel you are forcing him to go to bed sometimes 11.15pm!! and almost shoving him out the door to get a bit of peace but not unreasonable for me to expect him in bed - he's only 13!!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Re: the suite arrival date, when we used the same company for MIL's just recently, they just rang the day before they wanted to deliver it! Luckily she's in all the time, but I can see it would be a pain for people that aren't! It did come on time from the guesstimate he offered when ordering though."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0

Hi BZ - only a day's notice would be pain! I need to find the paperwork for it at the time - I wasn't too worried about a delay as knew decorating and flooring would need to come first.
Oh well - someone finally emptied the dishwasher so just repacked it! The microwave has just beeped to say porridge ready. So just getting on to breakfast now.
Sleeping better than I was but OH had to be up early around 5.30 am so that woke me up - had to work to get back to sleep and now feel really tired and groggy. Did go to bed about half an hour earlier last night - if I can gradually bring my bedtime forward - I'm hoping that I can get up earlier.... We'll see.
DS is eating for England at the moment - don't know whether just part of being a teenager since he's been having these growth spurts or whether I should be worried! I think its the first - but a bit more exercise wouldn't go amiss.
I need to total up our xmas spend again soon - including what my parents have contributed too.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I am in pain today tho....
I also need to finalise my submission for the promotion at work. Everyone else seems to be playing things low key but I want to make sure they know enough about me to get me in the interview room!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
