Watched Adjustment bureau today - enjoyed it romantic film with twists and turns....

Then did an hour privately on dance central 2 on the kinect - I think it could be helpful to getting us fit but only if we had a regime of regularly doing it. I think it would give me more confidence to do a group session tho as I have always seen myself as very uncordinated - and I wasn't as bad as I expected LOL.

Normally this time of year I write a list of things I am grateful for from 2011 but not been in the right frame of mind yet... It's felt too busy trying to get the house looking nice, doing xmas, catering for relatives etc... Can't believe I only have 2 days of freedom left - at least it will be a short week. OH is back in 1 day. DD is off 3 more days and I still don't know where she is going for day 3!! Oh well... another day in the life of a working mother...

Well our family goals this year
    1. To become significantly more fit and healthy
    2. To improve our finances
    3. To spend more time socialising and entertaining and rebuild our friendship network
    4. To have a holiday abroad
    5. To sort our house out once and for all and declutter all unneeded stuff (I keep hold of things just in case I or someone else needs them - then can't find them and buy a replacement anyway!)

Hi guys - well those were our goals at the start of 2011 - they could equally apply this year!

It has been a very up and down year filled with lots of very real pain. This time last year I didn't know it but I was about to be hospitalised as my iron levels were dangerously low and my immune system was compromised and I would end up having an operation

To become significantly more fit and healthy
    1. Jan 2011 3 pint blood transfusion and arm nerve damage:o I have an appointment this week to find out what damage if any still remains from that
    2. Feb-June lost 2.5-3 stone :jbut struggled with insomnia:(
    3. Was able to walk up to 7 miles a day:jso can get to this fitness stage again
    4. July 2011 hysterectomy :( and related recovery period and loss of fitness, impact of medication, sick pay etc
    5. July - Dec put original weight back on plus some!!:o Planning to restart diet and fitness plan from today
    6. My dad had a successful knee operation - my MIL is due one shortly. My dad should also have his other knee done....
    7. OH currently undergoing testing as relative our age died suddenly last January - testing so far has all been clear :j- but he needs another test doing to be sure but really needs to lose weight first.
    8. OH is currently a member of a gym. I would like the rest of the family to rejoin but need to check if can afford it. In the meantime hoping kinect dance central may help:rotfl:
    To improve our finances
    1. Finances - repaid original debt:j - with help from pension refund but have knowingly incurred new debt to fund suite, flooring and car - shhhh!! :o We can afford it as now in permanent jobs and have a plan to get rid of debt asap. It is all on 0% - earliest one is due to be repaid by Sept....the rest will take a little longer... the suite is on a 4 year plan.... Figure the car is a saleable asset if we needed it to be.
    2. Have some savings towards repaying CC and holiday
    3. Things are still going well at work - I've applied for promotions but awaiting interviews would put my career back on track if I got one - and I ought to but who knows with these things.... :o
    4. I set up a ltd company business, website, have professional indemnity :T- and if don't get above mentioned promotion will proceed with trying to bring money in through that as just don't get enough from main job!!:money:
To spend more time socialising and entertaining and rebuild our friendship network
    1. We have been more sociable and have a better friendship base I think...
    2. Family happy - kids doing well at school
    3. A friend gave us a free photo shoot :money:- and the beautiful evidence is hanging on our wall - a 10 photo of collage that everyone comments on
    To have a holiday abroad
    1. We had our holiday abroad :beer:which seemed mostly positive while we were there - but the pool hygiene reduced our immune system and gave us other health problems:eek:
To sort our house out once and for all and declutter all unneeded stuff
    1. We did do some major decluttering and redecorating.
    2. We redecorated DD's room for her birthday and she still proudly shows it off now:T
    3. We have repainted the walls of the hall, stairs, landing, downstairs loo, study, living room, kids bathroom:)
    4. We have done the glossing of woodwork in lounge, study, downstairs loo, kitchen door, front door:)
    5. We have refloored all of the downstairs except the kitchen which doesn't need it luckily!:D
    6. We have a beautiful new suite :jon a 4 year plan - payments start this month!!
    7. We have a new unit for our TV
    8. For my birthday I got a new crystal standard light. We also put a new ceiling light in the lounge this year.
    9. OH's study is improving too in the decluttering and style stakes:beer:
    10. Our bedroom is tidier but lots still to be done in decluttering and redecorating:o
So a busy year - lots of ups and downs - but friends and family and sheer determination saw us thro

Forward goals include redecorating the rest of the walls in the house even if its only in magnolia and in finishing the glosswork through the rest of the house

    Need to continue decluttering

Cleaner going to come weekly which should also help!

    Hi Lu and Tirl

We gave in to the sales today - DD spent her xmas money in H0bbycraft and B00ts. I bought some xmas and birthday pressies for the next year from B00ts and got loads of £5 vouchers.... I also picked up a new metal bottle so I can make fresh smoothies again....

Booked tickets for Puss in Boots tomorrow late afternoon as it is DS's birthday. Drove in to get tickets - saving £3 and then they said I could have a family ticket which saved me another £2 so not bad for a 15 minute trip. OH will have an excuse to get home early. A friend has also agreed to look after DD on inset day - Wednesday which will save me a couple of hours drive and up to £10 in petrol.

Just spoken to MIL again who complimented me again on the meal yesterday and my gorgeous new lounge!

Currently eating popcorn and watching transformers with DD

Made DS a cake in the shape of a 14 - he was really pleased.... Watched puss in boots together - went well and then went to pizza hut - He seems to have enjoyed his day. Thinking of taking him adrenaline tubing with a few of his friends Saturday - he seems excited about that

Hi guys - well today went OK. Went to hospital with friend - and they confirmed arm nerve damage now pretty much healed up which is good... OH took DD to the dentist - apparently her thumb sucking is literally causing her teeth to crack... which is rather worrying!!

Watching the mentalist at the mo... Think will check online banking in a min... see how we are doing...
