Agree with sis - step away from Google! Those who have a good experience tend not to write about it, so you only ever hear the horror stories.

Don't overdo it with the moving around, its easy to get too tired easily.
thumbsup2.gifI like you. You can come again ;)

    Hi Tirl, BZ and Gill

DS can be useful...:A. I swear he grows taller every time I look at him!! DD came home for today as it was OH's birthday and our anniversary. We decided to brave our local Thai restaurant.... I mainly stood until the food arrived as sitting "straight" was too painful.:o We were in and out home and back within 90 mins so not too bad. the bill was a lot cheaper than normal too as we did the lunchtime order.... :money:so that was worth finding out about.

I then went to sleep for a couple of hours until the kids woke me up as they do!! OH was pleased with his pressies.... he'd bought me a couple of little wrap ups for our anniversary and a nice card. He really liked the anniversary card I bought him - so much so he wants to frame it LOL!:rotfl:

MIL gave us some meringue nests so got DS to load them with whipped cream and fruit.... not got the heart to tell him he curdled the cream LOL:rotfl:

OH is going back to work tomorrow and a friend is going to come for lunch and to help DS do the washing. :j:j:jShe offered to do whatever was needed which was sweet.... The doctor agreed to give me prescriptions so I think I will ask her to pick them up on the way. She has said she will cook a meal for us next week too. Bless! Someone else is dropping off a lasagne for out tea tomorrow which is nice.:A May ask friend to drop slow cooker back off to last night's tea makers as she lives near them

    So feeling blessed....

You are really lucky with people rallying round. At heart, generally most people are caring.

Hi Gill - I am lucky that I have people helping out... I find it interesting that this last year we've made more effort to be sociable and its those friends who are helping out the most. Yesterday I had 2 friends round with practical help, and another friend from work turned up with flowers from everyone at the office which I thought was really lovely.

I think I am mostly not doing too much - altho going out for a meal was a strain - but it was OH's birthday and our anniverary and the first time we'd seen DD in about 10 days - so definitely worth celebrating. yesterday I managed most of the day on the sofa and didn't have a sleep in the day. I did sleep a bit earlier last night - more like 2am rather than 5am which is a massive improvement. Today I got up around 10:30 and I've stayed sat up in bed as it is more comfortable but not had a sleep.

I've been re-reading a fab book called Brand You and spending time and effort writing in my PlayBook what I want my business to stand for, what my core values, talents, mission etc is. It talks about archetypes in the book apparently you can evoke one or two of the following - by evoke it means your brand may suggest these characteristics about you but it doesn't mean you have to completely become them....

The Caregiver, The Lover, The Hero, The Magician, The Ordinary Girl/Boy, The Jester, The Outlaw, The Ruler, The Creator, The Explorer, The Innocent, The Sage

I identified with a couple of them in particular and luckily my brand that I chose before reading the book reflects these!!! LOL. I must be more in touch with my personal brand that I realise!

I've also been trying to build up my twitter following which is very time consuming but means I come up straightaway on google so worth it just for that - either on my surname or my brand name....

DS has been looking after me today, bringing me drinks and lunch bless him. I did venture downstairs once to make coffee and finish off yesterday's cake but other than that its been down to him....

    Hi SH

I've not been around for a while - so pleased things went well for you. Now concentrate on getting your strength back BUT DON'T DO TOO MUCH. Once you feel better the temptation to just........ is very tempting. You can put your progress back by doing too much too soon LOL - lecture over now :)

How many years for you - it's our anniversary today - 33 years - where does time go when you're having fun???????????????

It's good to hear you sounding so positive - onwards and upwards.........

    Hi Milann

    We've been married 20 years!!!

Still recovering well. Had a friend around for a couple of hours this afternoon which was nice. Completely forgot she was coming but luckily was up in time. We had to let her in the back door as couldn't find any front door keys---- mine is normally on my car key ring and since I can't drive OH has my keys!

DS is now just cooking me lunch but since I only had a porridge breakfast at 1pm I will let him off. I got to sleep about 3am which was very irritating and I'm sure nothing to do with the thriller I read until late!!!

2 books have arrived for me to read via Amazon... but I can't now find the first one in the series which I wanted to read before the next 2! Irritating or what....

After all Martin's warning re EoN its finally dawned we are EON customers and need to look at switching!

Hi guys.... Well yesterday a friend came round with flowers and we had a nice long chat....

Today unfortunately I had to ring the doctor as I am coughing up yellow phlegm ie have a chest infection.... Finding it a bit hard to breathe at the moment.... which is not good really.... I do now have antibiotics so should start to get better soon. I organised a 12 month pre-payment certificate.... apparently you can pay it over 10 months and it is cheaper than doing them quarterly.

Just lectured OH as he'd eaten all the ham and been to the shop and not replaced it - and I wanted a simple ham and cheese omelette and he'd eaten a family sized pack of ham in less than 2 days and I had had 2 very thin slices out of it!! I told him I'd just made a coffee and lifted a litre of milk and he went mad at me - I said well you are supposed to be looking after me (he worked from home today) but you moan every time I ask you for anything.... He's gone off to buy the ham for my omelette LOL!

Just been for a short walk to the closed corner shop and back in the rain just for some exercise with DS and some oxygen. Apparently 1742 steps.... Better than nothing....

    Still struggling to breathe...
