    Hi GG

Nice to see you here. Hope you are doing better... Is there a little gosling now?

I've been struggling with a chest infection this week which is sooooooooooooooo frustrating.... You have all these plans of what you will use your time off work for only to find out that the time off work genuinely is for recovery.... I was doing so well until I started spending several hours of the night non-stop coughing... strangely after a H operation that hurts!!!

I did manage to get out briefly today but that was just to see if knickers with no VPL hurt less LOL!! The answer was not if you only get one size up!!! Lets hope 2 sizes up works better EEK! Try later.... I also got to M&S food "deals" so I had a yummy sweet chilli chicken potatoes and peas meal and key lime pot yum!! Got some for another day too... Polished off half a coffee cake... Whoops!!!

DD has asked to stay at home and play with Daddy tomorrow rather than go to church so that will happen, DS has got a friend over tomorrow night.... The kids will need to move the mattress for me. DD will probably go to her nan's tomorrow night again until Thursday or Friday.... I think OH may be grateful as I kept him up for hours last night literally coughing away.....

Glad I'm on antibiotics but not convinced its enough.... let's see if there is an improvement come Monday if not will need to get back on to Doctors I think.....

Hope the chest infection sorts itself out and can imaging how bad it is when you've had surgery. DS was born by C section, and can remember vividly shouting at someone for telling me a joke, as it hurt too much to laugh.

M&S meal deals are really good value, I just wish they were more use to us.

Ouch to coughing after surgery :( Hope you get better soon :)

Take it easy and STOP lifting litre bottles of milk - you will undo the good they have just done. Get someone to decant some milk into a small glass or jug or something and a pump top flask with boiled water to hand if you really NEED to do things yourself - lecture over :) That is what I did when I couldn't lift anything but needed to for my sanity LOL

    Hi Milann and Gill

Feel a little better tonight... slept better that always helped

I am all shakey now tho.... not eaten enough yet... Just had 2 quick yoghurts while I wait for a belated lunch. Just had a tour of my neighbours house.... They've done a lovely job but previous occupants walled in the eaves - losing about 3 foot of space off each bedroom!! Amazing!! They very sensiblely want to sort that out and get the space back!! Will probably show them ours but need our house to be tidy first! It looks really bad... especially compared to their decluttered show house effect! We will probably invite them around for a fire pit evening one night but need to get some drinks and nibbles in first....

Need to get OH and DS to tidy up!!

Well I got DS to unpack and pack the dishwasher which improved things slightly but downstairs and up - looks terrible especially after visiting showhouse next door LOL! The kids have got DVDs all spilled out over the floor in the lounge and it looks like a bomb went off in my DD's room and she is normally the tidiest.

DS was at air cadets last night. I ordered his shoes yesterday and they arrived today. MIL is theoretically giving me £50 towards his footwear for Air Cadets but she hasn't handed it over yet.... Frustrating as I bought his £42!!!! boots a month or more ago! We had to pay the rest of his trip which has gone up from around £25-35 estimate to £50! He's given in his preferences for what he wants to do on his week away which include flying and shooting and archery... let's hope he gets to do them. If he gets to actually fly - I want to go and see it though so need to talk to the club about that... No idea how I would get there as it is unlikely I will be able to drive myself.... I expect if DS flew OH would in practice also want to see it... Turns out my niece was in the AC and so was one of my second cousins. Apparently it's a family thing even though I didn't know it LOL

Feeling a lot more myself again today, chest seems to have cleared. I got to sleep at 3am but only got up at 11am so that means I got about 8 hours sleep just not quite at the right time.

Getting DS to put the DVDs away as we speak and then hopefully he will hoover this room. Very tempted to get new flooring and new suite and new cupboards in here..... Our existing cupboards over dominate the room and the carpet smells damp I think from one too many drinks accidentally knocked on to it!! Our suite is falling apart!! My friend came round the other day and was kind of hinting I could get better from the stuff that's donated to the local charity furniture centre LOL.... May look on freecycle....

Had a good day. I took the risk to pack the dishwasher today... went okay.... also put some wood on the fire pit and sat on my swinging hammock for the first time since the operation.... Also walked to the corner shop and back with DS... went well.

Things seem to be improving... just need to avoid shopping temptations.... I could get a nice corner sofa for £450, and a new floor for £350 just for my lounge plus underlay plus the hallway plus new furniture blah blah blah.... Need to do my best to resist - and look if there's anything on freecycle or local charity shop or boot sale as a starting point....

Hi DC feel free to lurk away... How are things with you tho? Any closer to getting the job of your dreams?

I am feeling much better this week - ended up spending a couple of hours walking around or sitting in shops yesterday buying DS stuff for his Air Cadet week away / start of school. Spent £100 and that was on trainers, 2 rucksacks and jogging pants... Still need shoes and football boots! I also went to a sunday school meeting!!

Today stayed around the house, wrote a blog, added pictures. Messed with my fire pit and burned up rubbish... Can't find sick note so will need to ask for new one.... oops! Feeling like I can stretch and bend without it causing an eek moment which is a big improvement.... still need to be careful re lifting. Let DD come home a day early this week and we went out for a meal tonight so that was nice... DS is going to Alton Towers tomorrow with friends with a packed lunch and another £30 to get in and possibly do fast track / eat.... Then he will still be going to air cadets at night so ideally need to buy him some thin laces somehow??? OH is planning to work from home in the afternoon so will see if he can get them on the way home... so DS can put laces into his second hand air cadet shoes which were another £21 this week. Had to finish paying for the trip last Monday so that was another £40 gone!!! Kids are so expensive at times!! Well worth it tho!

Got a nice bank statement today - there is £200 in an account that we have - which is about £100 more than I thought...may transfer it to main account so can use towards trademarking my brand name. Offered DS £20 to make me a logo.... he's working on it....
