I'm sick to death of coming back to my car in a car park to find it has been scratched or scraped buy some hit and run ar*e h*le. This is the second time I've had my paint work damaged in six weeks. If I ever catch someone damaging my car then making an escape I will follow them and won't be responsible for my actions.:mad::mad:

I know what you mean, I regularly come back to the car to find another car door dent in the side of mine. Thankfully I'm not too bothered about it because the car is built like a tank but it is anoying - why can't people take more care with others property - or leave a note/wait if they do damage.0

It is an unfortunate part of owning a car and parking in car parks - my doors are scratched with little dents, most people's cars are damaged as a result of inconsiderate and careless people in car parks.
Just an inescapable consequence of owning a car in modern times I think.

Know how you feel, what gets me is I deliberately park in the furthest spot away from the place i want to go, in a space with 14 spaces each side so not to suffer what happens as a result of owning a car, and GUARRENTEED some one has bloo*dy parked right next to me with 13 spaces each side empty, sorry but it is not necessary to damage someone else’s car even in today’s car parks. "I don’t damage other people’s cars, why should they damage mine??"!!!!!!:mad:

I gave up trying to keep my cars nice, and when I bought my next "good" car, I also bought a £400 Volvo to keep as an emergency spare car and to go to Tesco in. Anyone crashes into that they come off worse*, and it's ultimately a big ugly Sweedish cube so I don't care if it picks up any more dents or scratches.
* came out one morning to find my mirror folded in, and a Mazda branded mirror in 5 pieces scattered across the road with broken glass everywhere. Folded my mirror back out like nothing had happened.0 -
Exactly! I was parked in a row of bays next to this raised up blocked paved area the size of a bay which separates the all day parking and short stay spaces. Right up to the curb of it which meant I was leaving huge space clear on the other side and someone still manages to park so close to damage my car!

I used to get a new car every year and I used to dread parking in supermarket car parks. Then my circumstances changed and I ended up driving around in a beaten up old Metro. It was so liberating! I could park anywhere, even near the 'mother and child' spaces, without worrying.0

My wife always complains that when we park somewhere I always park "as far away from the shop as possible".
Not strictly true, but there is a method in my madness. By parking a bit further away, you can usually find a space with an empty space either side. Also if you're in a quieter part of the car park you don't have people zooming in and out, people trying to control their car, kids and shopping trolley all at the same time !
Don't have a mark on the sides of my car - anyone know how to prevent stone chips on the front ??
