I am sick to death of finding my car damaged

I now use tescos home delivery - well worth the £3 or so they charge.0

I got a brand new Golf Plus in September - its fab BUT oh, I miss the freedom of parking my old Skoda Fabia anywhere I wanted and not having to walk backwards when I notice someone about to park next to it and not returning with dread in case some AH has banged their door into mine.0

I`m convinced that there are people who get a kick out of damaging people`s new cars that they do it deliberately. I`ve had three new cars over the years, work hard to buy them, each one has been dented within weeks of me buying them.
The last one resembled a golf ball it had so many dents in it.0 -
I have photgraphed more than once or twice people damaging cars and driving away, I leave a note on the damaged car with my mobile n○ and the reg of the car that did it. I always hope I spoil the offenders day more than they have spoiled someone elses. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

I also park as far away as possible in an empty part of the supermarket car park. It's quite good if there are other nice cars there as you know they're doing the same as you (trying to avoid door dingers!) There's a kind of unwritten rule that you always leave at least an empty space between cars. Needless to say i've came back to my car before and had a beaten up old car parked right next to my one when there's been loads of empty spaces. Why? My cars not lonely. Do they do it to annoy me?
We've also had our car keyed. My husband said if he ever caught anyone doing that to our car he wouldn't stop punching them until his arm hurt, and then he'd start kicking them.

We'd had our car about 2 weeks. It was a 3yr old Audi and the first really nice car we'd had. It was parked outside the house at the time (on a quiet street). We had to have 2 doors and 2 panels resprayed as the scratch was right through to the bodywork. When the bodyshop came to pick it up, they actually picked it up and put it on the back of a transporter. Hubby said that the neighbours would think it'd been repossessed already.
We claimed off the insurance but had protected no claims, but it still cost us £200 of an insurance excess. 0 -
When parking I try to:
Avoid cars likely to have kids in eg 7 seaters, ones with baby seats and silly baby on board signs
Avoid parking next to 2 door cars as their doors are longer .
Park next to a wall, pillar, bush etc. as these don't open car doors onto yours.
Park next to new shiny cars and not old bangers......0 -

Not strictly true, but there is a method in my madness. By parking a bit further away, you can usually find a space with an empty space either side. Also if you're in a quieter part of the car park you don't have people zooming in and out, people trying to control their car, kids and shopping trolley all at the same time !
Don't have a mark on the sides of my car - anyone know how to prevent stone chips on the front ??
Same here! I usually find scratches made by shopping carts around the bumbpers where some stupid p*** has tried to manouver his/her shopping trolley thru a line of cars instead of going the long way around.0 -
Someone damaged my son's car and left a note. It said 'sorry' (and nothing else). That's worse because it was then obvious they knew they'd damaged his car but it was like they'd stuck their fingers up to him by not leaving details.
People do that because it looks like they're leaving a note and thus the witnesses don't bother to take down details or report the hit+run.
A while back I saw someone do this after reversing hard into the front of someone's car, but decided to be nosey and check the note anyway as they seemed to write it awfully quick, turned out to be blank so I took down the details and left them for the driver too.
They weren't interested as the damage didn't look too bad. It was quite an impact and probably pushed something back inside. Oh well.0
