keep trying not to think about my first wedding while i'm planning this one, but...
I remember being really cross on my wedding day that no one had lit the 10 little candles i had on every table for when the guests came in to where the tables were. Seems silly looking back!saving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.
We're 29% of the way there...0 -
Had a Bridezilla moment at the sink before - heard a drip, opened the cupboard and got covered in waste water - the u-bend had fallen off!!! OH is off walking with a DofE group! I was Bridezilla-ing the fact that I had just taken my wedding shoes off! Thankfully or they would have been ruined! Shouting and screaming at the sink - I am normally so calm!
Printed my Order of Service out for the 4th time today - OH typed them up and made spelling mistakes desert anyone? Stood there cursing him and shouting - why did he save as a pdf instead of a word doc - had to r-type them - then I put 2 spaces in the middle - what difference would it have made? Would the world have ended? No but Bridezilla is OCD and did it again, and again then printed them off in black and white so had to do them a 4th time! Not happy! x0 -

Oh good grief, that is exactly what I will probably find myself doing!! I'm the kind of person who proof-reads everything I write (including texts, emails and, yep, this) at least three times and develops a nervous twitch if I see an apostrophe in the wrong place. How very sad....
EDIT: (while giggling at the sheer inevitability of it) Yes, despite proof-reading it the requisite three times, I still managed to type the word 'who' twice. I think it's time I went to bed now...:heart2::heart2::heart2:Engaged to my lovely man since 27th April 2010:heart2::heart2::heart2:0 -

There is still a mistake in them! Going to buy anyone that spots it a drink! The times are all in 24hr apart from last orders which is in 12hr!
Really wish I had done it myself - OH was the brunt of my bridezilla! Why did he not check it properly - can i not pass him anything to do? Aargh x0 -
I turned up at my mums to see she had put out her MOTB outfit out to show me, and it IS SO GORGEOUS, but the fact that I said "nice top, do you still need to buy the trousers?" when it is in fact a dress says it all!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Bless! It is my mums style and she does have the figure to wear such things however she is not wearing a slinky, short cream dress on the day!!
I've said she can have a costume change and wear it at night. I'm just thinking something a little more sophisicated and elegant would look better for the pictures!
PS I don't mind about the colour, my dress is red and ivory!:kisses2: Got married September 2011:smileyhea

Slowly feeling more bridezilla by the day... I love my venue but the lack of correspondance is really starting to get to me. After our first visit I emailed to ask for a second meeting, and enquired if they were free on possible dates. I received a reply about the meeting, but nothing was mentioned about the dates. I replied to confirm we would be attending, and asked again about the dates. No reply, we ended up waiting until the meeting. I then emailed to confirm which date we wanted... no reply... emailed again to say we'd booked with the registrar and would also like to reserve on of their holiday cottages for the week of the wedding... again no reply. My OH rang them last week to enquire about paying deposits/contracts etc & they promised they'd be in touch early this week. So far nothing & I'd bet any money we're not going to hear from them at all.
It's really frustrating, I don't want to change our venue but I'm getting very close to saying if they don't get themselves sorted then I'm looking elsewhere. It's almost like they don't want our money!Mortgage: [STRIKE]08/13 £28,896.49[/STRIKE] 01/18 £00 -

I don't blame you for considering looking elsewhere, that must be very stressful. Could you phone them (it seems from your post that they are easier to get hold of that way) and explain that you are concerned that you have sent numerous emails but are very concerned that they are being unresponsive, and are worried that this doesn't bode well for your wedding! If you mention that you may consider taking your business elsewhere it may make them pull their collective finger out! I note that your wedding isn't until June 2012 so they may not consider you a priority (which is wrong, as you quite rightly want things sorted asap), but if you still feel like you are dragging them kicking and screaming towards your wedding date after voicing your concerns you do at least still have a fair amount of time to find somewhere else if needs be. I really hope it doesn't come to that though!:heart2::heart2::heart2:Engaged to my lovely man since 27th April 2010:heart2::heart2::heart2:0 -
