last week was my daughters 1st birthday and my SIL (who is 16) couldnt even be bothered to come to her party on time and then when she showed it was with 2 of her friends who then wanted to eat all the food and cake and everything and drink like me and my OH were (unfortunately no where near enough!!!!!) The party was at her house (OHs mums) so she went out with her friends instead of being there
we were supposed to have a planning meeting 2morrow (me and the MOH and BMs) but now she is refusing to talk to me as i have asked her for an apology for her behaviour that she doesnt think that she should have to give
i cant get rid of her as a BM but if she can behave like that for her neices 1st bday how can i trust her to help me with the weddingy stuff no matter how small it is
Have tried talking to her but she will not speak to me until i tell her that her behaviour that day was fine and i am not willing to do that
ARGGGGHHHHHHHHH
my MOH (my lil sister) is telling me to just do what she wants but i know that if i give in on this then she will just expect me to give in on everything which i dont want to do esp with the wedding ARRRGGGGHHHHHHHH
any advice???
Maybe you have to accept the fact that you have chosen the BMs as they are special people, and some will be more helpful & kind than others. I think its fair to say many people are not at their best in awkward teenage years, but hopefully giving her the chance to be BM will help your relationship for the future. And your other BMs/ family will be there to help you.
My BMs (sister & sister in law) will be pretty useless in terms of practical help - one has learning difficulties and one lives abroad and flying in from abroad the week before the wedding... however both are special people I want to honour on the day and I am lucky to have other friends/ family who will help me!
A bridezilla moment came yesterday at the florist when a gentle discussion about how many people on the top table turned into a rant about how we don't have to do certain things just cos they are traditional, and i will choose who I want to sit on the top table!! I had to apologise before we left the shop...fran-o0 -
floss have talked to the MIL2B and her comment is that we are both adults now so we should deal with it - i do love your dress idea !!!!
fran - thank you for the balancing of my raving anger lol we were close once and maybe will just have to rely on the other 2 BMs and just have her there, big worry is that instead of a dress fitting she will go out with her friends or the rehersal i will deal with it in some way xmas is on the way so she will probably talk to me thenThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -

If she can't be bothered to come to a fitting, then she will have to put up with whatever is decided. As to the rehearsal, why not say that if she does not attend it, she does not attend the wedding at all - it's your day, you make up the rules!0 -
floss please may you come and be my life coach!!!! wish i could just say your not being a BM but its the only thing my OH has really asked me for so kinda have to do it
have lots of time to sort it out so will have to make sure she knows who is the boss (or make OH be bossy lol)The only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
I have just gone full on Bridezilla - at the tree over the road from my house! Just stood and told it to tell it's friends not to go throwing all of their leaves on the floor - do they not understand I get married in 2 weeks and love the autumn colours of the leaves! Don't think it was listening though - it's still dropping leaves everywhere! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I have officially gone mad! :T Lifts to the looney bin greatly appreciated! x0 -

How rude and inconsiderate of the trees!!
Very inconsiderate - how dare they! Went on a 15km hike yesterday and the OH thought I had gone crazy I kept coming out with random statements - yes that would be nice of you - how dare you look so bare! Had to explain to him what I had done!:rotfl:He thought it was hilarious!
His nephew and his girlfriend have split up so I just had another Bridezilla - how dare they - going to hae to reprint everything now!:mad::mad::mad: Take 7998!0 -
I specifically asked my day guests to reply by a certain date, more than 10 haven't replied at all! I need to know what they're eating because I need to know what it will cost!! I keep putting different choices in my spreadsheet but there are way too many different outcomes and costs!!!
OH told his friend that he had replaced the best man, before he told the best man! I was delighted as the ex best man will sulk and keep my numbers down!!
I'm now going to have round tables instead of long ones because there will be 4 people I have never met before at my small intimate wedding so they can face away from me. I am a bad person0 -
haha no your not a bad person! actually you are better than me! my guest list is people i know only- want to look at my wedding photos in years to come and know everyone in the photos and not think 'oh that was.. oh no who was that'
