  • It wasnt me who had a bridezilla moment this time, it was OH family having, well i guess it was a familzilla moment, they all ganged up on OH and got him convinced having a november wedding wasnt a 'proper' wedding and that it needs to be in the summer. So OH sat me down and said he wanted to move it back so we could have this 'proper' wedding. It was the quickest no I had ever said :rotfl:

I'm still really angry at his family for putting him up to it and causing trouble between us. Im more angry at the back stabbing as they had been all nice and lovely about the plans when I told them about them  I would love to just not invite them now being as they have such a problem with it being a winter wedding.

OMG!!! I cannot believe that a) they would insinuate that a wedding at any other time of year other than summer isn't a real wedding and b) I can't believe that you only said no... I would have had LOADS more to say about it!!!!
    Congratulations for being very restrained!

They are just like my OH's mum! Mine won't be a proper wedding! October is not the right time for that - they were December! So when she said the sun won't be shining!!:mad:

Hence us only telling them 11 weeks ago! :D That didn't go down well but at least it was all in place!
  • Arrgh. Sent my bridesmaids some dress options. My MOH hasn't responded, and my other bridesmaid is asking for something to cover her arms to hide her bingo wings!! I haven't budgetted for that and it'll look wrong in the photos.

Now I'm thinking of adding an extra bridesmaid so I at least have someone on my team!!

Stupid bridesmaids. Stupid wedding :( Hrrmuph.

I got a shrug for my BM to hide her arms, it was only about £11 from ebay.

OH has told me to be a bridezilla (he learnt it a few weeks ago and hasn't had chance to use it yet) MOH text me the other day to find out about our plans for shopping this weekend then she didn't reply to my texts and wouldn't answer the phone. He said I should phone up and shout at her!!

My actual confession is that I got my day invites out this week, I insisted on hand delivering them to certain people so that they could hear me say their kids weren't invited. Ha. (the kids are old enough to look after themselves and have kids of their own anyway)
  • Im still angry at OH family but theres nothing I can do apart from moan to him about it and he had the brunt of it when he told me what they had said. Its a good thing Im so easy going :)

Nothing wrong with a wedding in the winter season. If we hadn't be able to get our date (it's 'special' to us- will be our 11 year anniversary :) ) then we would have a christmas wedding. I think you were entirely reasonable. If they don't like it they'll just have to wear a scarf or summat :p

I'm a bridezillla and my latest confession is... if started obsessing over tiny details that no-one but me will notice (or care about :p)

    1) I want a special coat hanger for my wedding dress which has 'Mrs Mercer-to-be' on it, so it looks nice for photographs of my dress hanging up :o
    2) I've got brother in-law-2be making me a special ring box for the wedding rings with a special wood I've requested :o
    3) I've ordered a special pen for signing the register which is pretty and all beaded and 'wedding' looking. Again- just so it looks nice in pictures. :o

I don't wanna be crazy! What's up with me?! :p

TBH I think it's all the little details like that that help make the day extra special for the brides and grooms (especially the brides :D)

Yeah so people aren't going to see your coat hanger (awesome idea by the way, I now want one) and they may not notice what pen you sign the register with, but YOU will notice. And it's little things like that that make you go all smoooshy inside so I say go for it!

And let me know where you get your coat hanger from :D
