I'm starting to think that weddings make other people crazy, and we're the sane ones! Went to see my friend last week (which was the trigger for 'hen-gate') and as I had just finished my invitations that day, gave her and her hubby theirs. Her hubby said "I thought you were supposed to post invitations?" Am I mad to think "why would I post something to you on my way to visit your house....?" I did offer to go outside and put it through the letterbox if it would make him happy...

Could you go for lunch instead jax so its less of a big deal and part of the working day if you know what I mean? Depends on where you work obviously but it might be an easy compromise?

I suggested that and also an office buffet but they want to go out at night and after the meal go round the pubs.

I didn't know you were supposed to post invites......

Invites - will be posting them by hand to local people, or drop them through the letterbox after a visit, just so they get the "ooh!" (hopefully) when seeing it by the door (only cuz I get excited about mail - little things ;) ). Certainly not paying out for postage stamps if I don't have to! Technically even family that live far away don't need invites, I know my dad will be coming! It's all part of the thing though innit.

Bridezilla - just stropping because the music industry hasn't created enough of the exact type of song I want for a ceremony sing-a-long! Or the internet hasn't made it easy enough to find!

  • OH's brother text him to tell him my middle name was spelt wrong on the invitations (it wasn't) and that he didn't like any of the menu choices. It would be annoying enough, but he isn't even coming because it's 'too much hassle'!!!
