When my friend got married last year she specifically DIDN'T want people to wear the colour from her theme. She didn't make it public in so much as actually requesting on invitiations people didn't wear the colour, but with us girls, her close friends, she did ask us to avoid it!
I would find it a bit annoying if lots of people turned up in similar dresses to my bridesmaids. There is someone in my family who has turned up in pretty much the spot on colour to the bridesmaids to the past few family weddings....and I am not the only one who has noticed lol."More people would learn from their mistakes if they weren't so busy denying them." - Harold J. Lol, maybe 'leak' to her that your colour scheme is bright orange or something else totally the opposite to what it actually is?0 -

Haven't posted on here before but need to have a bridezilla moment so hope you'll entertain me...
I have quite clearly stated that I don't want a hen do, my BM has shown no real interest or inclination to organise me a hen do (but has a lot going on and I genuinely don't mind) but my friends are insistent that we do something. I said I would love to spend the day with them doing whatever they want to do but not as a 'hen', just as a day out with people I love. So why have they now messaged my BM saying that that are throwing me a hen do and when is she free? And why has she then messaged me saying "I thought this was my job?" Its no-one's flipping job I don't want one, and this is precisely the reason why! Don't stress me out please people OH is doing a good enough job of that on his own!Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -

Tell them all they can have a wonderful hen do.
Without you.
Book into a spa and turn your phone off.

There are times when it's just easier to back down and just be graceful about the whole thing. After all if you went out for birthday meal would it be such hardship?
I know where you are coming from - I got married last August - and in the end - I'd just smile and leave it. ........................then rant at OH or my daughter when I got home. LOL!! Chill!! Relax and enjoy whatever people want to do for you.
SwamyExpect the worst, hope for the best, and take what comes!!:o0 -
A birthday meal with friends is fine, but not people I never see outside work.
If they all want to go for a meal, they don't need to use me as an excuse. I find it strange they all go out regularly and im never invited, yet they MUST do this...... Er no thanksForty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0
