Aims, I'm laughing so much at your confessions, you're one of the best Bridezillas on here IMO! (In a nice way!
) I love the stealing of things you don't like! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

i'm not even "properly" engaged yet, although we've been discussing the wedding for months, but i am absolutely and completely dead-set against OH having his friend as BM, he is a total idiot, and his attitude towards women is disgusting, and he hates me.. so i just feel like it would be a joke to have him. as we're getting married overseas i am crossing fingers he won't cough up for it.
OHs phone is broke, and only works on speakerphone, so we were sitting on friday and this so called best friend called him, not realising i could hear everything, to let him know he had brought a girl home the night before who "dropped her knickers the minute she walked in the door" then proceeded to "bleed all over my cushions, the dirty female dog" THEN he asked if he wanted to meet him at pub to discuss, as he loved meeting friends to talk when he "gets a hole" and then laughed that my OH is "stuck with the same one for years" it really upset me, but OH just said that's his opinion, not my OHs and he can't tell his friends what to think, and blah blah blah love you, but i do not care no way is he being BM
also, MIL2B said "oh, you'll not wear white" EXCUSE ME?? it is my wedding day and i will wear exactly what i want. i will be wearing the whitest white dress i can find, and then she suggested that OH wears chinos and a linen shirt as it will be hot, and when i laughed it off and said no, he can wear a light coloured suit, but i do want him dressed properly she said "well it's his choice" no actually, it is my choice, he doesn't care about the aesthetics of the day, he just wants a nice ceremony and nice meal and good company, so i will be deciding exactly how everything looks!
god help this man when we actually get down to booking and planning properly, the bridezilla in me is raring to go!!0 -

I was waving a knife about because i was cutting the chicken at the time but i think it added to the effect!! lol:rotfl:
Can I steal your idea? I wish I'd told him that in the begining (with knife in hand), i wouldn't be stuck with the little fool now.0 -

I am planning to have a second dress too.. as long as i can afford it!
Have to add, another bridezilla moment.
At the neices wedding recently, all us female members had buttonholes and i was teh only one who wore it right way up. Sod tradition, its a shame to put all the effort into making a buttonhole to have it wasted in a droop (i know its cos the bloom is supposed to last longer but i am not convinced of this given that flowers are naturally held up by their stems) so I am insisting that h2b tell his female family members (when we see them) that they will be wearing the button holes the 'right' way up or else they will be given a wrist coursage. I am making them myself so not worried about cos. In indian weddings, all blokes are given a carnation buttonhole (just simple ones made with foil) and I want to do that but need to enlist some family help - which is difficult seeing as most of my 'extended' family is not invited. our immediate family alone is over 25 people and both our families combined (before adding friends to the numbers) was close to 200!Proud to be Member of BSC #92Hoping to get debt free again :wall::heart2: working hard to make my daughters proud :heart2:0 -
:rotfl: LOVIN this thread!
I am a Bridezilla:
I'm getting REALLY narked at FIL2B as he and OH's Stepmother show no interest in our plans at all, except when they disagree with something. They have added to our guest list twice so far, and I have told OH if he dares to make one more 'suggestion' he will not be coming!
I am embarrased about my gran as she will be the only old person at the wedding, and someone will have to babysit her all day, so I secretly hope she won't come!
BIL2B has offered to pay for suits for him and my OH (BIL2B is BM) but he also wants FIL2B in a matching suit and I have told OH that absolutely NO WAY is he going to be part of the main bridal party as he doesn't deserve to be! Fortunately OH is equally annoyed with him so he will be spoken to and told no
I would love my OH to wear top hat and tails, but I have done such a good job of acting laid back and non zillaish, telling him that as long as his hanky/and or cravat is in my colour scheme, and the 2 suits match, he can wear what he likes the best, that he has decided he doesn't like the frock coat and wants a different, more 'normal' suit! I want to march him to the hire shop and tell him YOU ARE WEARING THIS SUIT! I've told my MOH she can wear any style dress she wants, in any colour providing it somehow incorporates my colour scheme (either the dress colour or sash etc) as I want her to love the dress and I want her to want to wear it again. And I meant that, but OH is different!
We have already agreed I can go with the boys when they pick their suits, so I am researching some subtle psychological techniques to make sure he chooses the top hat and tails himself! :rotfl:0 -

I would love to have any of my Grandparents at my wedding but they have all passed away, i would do anything to have them there!! Please don't wish that!:o0 -
Haha, new BZ moment, and its quite bad.
Me and OH had a massive arguement over HELIUM. Then i got upset, walked off and cried.:rotfl:
Then today he suggested filling two of the balloons with air and 1 with helium and i was like "THAT WONT WORK!!" He thought all the balloons tied together in a balloon bouquet, but i thought he was just trying to be cheap!
Also, OH's BM is bringing round two pairs of shoes tomorrow for me to pick which ones he should wear. :rotfl:
I was like "Im not that controlling":o:p

Oh Aims and Magic - excellent BZ moments.
I know a tantrum is building, but not sure what it will be about, had minor one over flowers, but now resolved, and I think I may wear 2 dresses. . .
I agree with Shell, we have invited 2 older guests, both single, the others aren't well enough to travel, and we are really looking forward to having them there. OH's god father has just told me we are getting married at the ground where he saw his first test match - so all lovely memories!
Happy - you may be surprised at who will sit with the older generation and chat, it is nice break from the wedding whirl! Maybe appoint 2-3 people to co-ordinate to ensure no-one feels obliged to sit all day?Give yourself a Chistmas bonus £14 a week!
Total so far £280
