I will be stressed out to the max and feel it's innappropriate as currys make me so bloated! I just wanted a quiet night in to get myself sorted out and ready for the wedding day. He knew I didn't want to go (and I've said any other night is fine), he agrees I'll be stressed out, but he still sent OH a text last night to confirm if we're going or not!
I said no but apparently it can't be any other night as certain other people won't be able to make it! Err...I don't care, I'm still not going out the night before my wedding!
Just reading your curry worries and it's reminded me of the run up to our wedding. The groom (who, let's be honest here is a hypochondriac who lies in bed whimpering if he's got a bad cold) came down with a stomach bug just before we were due to drive up for the few days with his family before the wedding. He spent the meal where the parents from both sides met with his head down the toilet of the restaurant throwing up, and me, being an unsympathetic nowt was getting disapproving looks from his mum that I wasn't bowing to his every whim and dispensing tea on demand. He only perked up when I threatened to murder him if he wasn't well for the big day and reminded him I'd not done the "sickness and in health" promising yet.
He's currently at the doctors convinced he's broken his foot... he's stubbed his toe.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
This thread has made me giggle
I'm engaged & I want to be a bridezilla... but I need to get my OH to agree to a date! We've only been engaged for 3 years grrr...
Even though we haven't a date yet, I'm still stressing about who we need to invite, the venue & royally peeved that 3 friends who got engaged after me are all now married.
I'm tempted to just book the registry office and then lure my OH there on the premise of a 'day out' lol.

i think the only reason i ever got him to agree a date is cos i started about having another baby. lol. he made sure it was far enough that it would give him a chance to recover after our last one. got engaged in sept 2008 (dd was 3m) with a view to being wed in six months but i was still breastfeeding and was secretly pleased to have got the chance to lose a bit more weight. our dd will be 2.5yrs when we wed so hopefully, she may remember bits of it.Proud to be Member of BSC #92Hoping to get debt free again :wall::heart2: working hard to make my daughters proud :heart2:0

Also will absolutely NOT be going out the night before the wedding. And eating very plain, very thoroughly cooked food! Curry the night before? You don't want curry bum on the morning of your wedding. :rotfl:
Have also made it clear to H2B that we will NOT be doing anything or seeing anyone for long the day after the wedding - we'll be absolutely knackered and chilling out before driving to the Lake District the following day. No family events that day.0 -

That said, we had to wait 3 month before thinking about plans, as OH needed to get a job!0 -

god me too! two older sisters- one has already told me i shouldn't be getting married at all if i don't follow the tradition of not seeing the groom before the wedding
the other one is seemingly very jealous and feels i talk about the wedding too much, even though i don't really talk to her unless she's home for a weekend so hmmm to that one.
i also said from the outset they could choose their own dresses as long as they were purple. you think this would make things easier but nope, they had kittens about that too! rawr
really wish i could have a do over. the only reason i chose them was because i'm fortunate enough to have too many friends so picking between them would be horrible. though i then appointed my best friend my chief bridesmaid as she was the only one at the time who seemed to be having an interest in the wedding.
OH's dad's side of the family can go take a running jump as far as i'm concerned, apart from one auntie and uncle who are lovely. also don't want to invite one of my auntie's cos she's not spoke to me since i was 14 and she fell out with my mother over nothing.
all i really want for our day is the family, his and mine, that we adore and our closest friends. a registrar, a dj and a lot of alcohol.Little Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Not sure i've had any other bz moments.....yet! hee hee

My SIL2B is gettin on my sodding nerves. It seems to be all his family who are causing all the issues. If I had my way we would have !!!!!! of abroad to get wed. Half of them are attention seekers and the other half are up their own a$$.,,,,,,,,,,,
Bridezilla moments in the last 12 weeks have got to be expected - surely ????!!!!:heart2::heart2::heart2: I LOVE MY BEAGLE! :heart2::heart2::heart2:0 -
My bl00dy MIL2B has ignored our request for NO presents and annouced she has 'bought us a little something'. Trouble is that it is bound to be the most god awful pile of tat you have ever seen (this is the women who bought me an '100% polyester, easy care knitted table runner, the likes of which I thought had stopped being made around 1976!!) I am now threatening to call the whole wedding off!!!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0
