BTW, my first Bridezilla moment has arrived! Well, I'm not sure if it qualifies really but here goes... my aunt has just been told the date and called me in a panic about who would pick her up from, and leave her back to, the airport!!

Eh??? Firstly, public transport. Secondly, a relative, who she should ask and arrange, not you. Thirdly, taxi. Is she not an adult???? :rotfl:

The airport is about 80 miles away, and she is a pensioner, so I would feel bad asking her to take public transport/a taxi. Someone in the family will pick her up, I'm sure. I was just bemused that this was her first comment! :rotfl:

Hello, my bridezilla moment - not really a moment but here goes - I got engaged early last year and booked my venue the next month for late 2012, my cousin got engaged late 2010 and booked the same venue for her reception - only she's getting married 6 months earlier than me. And now every one is saying "oh yes, so you're also getting married at____" when it should be the other way round - because I had it first! I say its fine to everyone, but Im really pee'd off about it.

Hmmm, I can kind of understand why you feel that way, but with you having an almost-3-year engagement, it's fairly normal for someone else to get engaged after you and married before you iykwim! My brother got engaged before me and I'm getting married before him - but it's their choice to have a long engagement (2.5 years) and our choice to have a short one (just a year!). Nobody minds at all. Our wedding is in 2012, theirs is in 2013, so they're happy with that. They will be quite different weddings (ours will be a lot smaller for a start, and more quirky/vintage in style) and at different venues too.

Your cousin having her reception at the same venue is very unusual - unless it is super popular in your area?

I'm sorry, but I'd be so tempted to say on her wedding day to other people how glad you are you recommended it to her because it's been such a beautiful day!!

Oohh now that would really pee me off too!

If anyone else mentions it, just tell them that you had booked it first but weren't in as much of a rush to get married.
