If the girl doesn't want to take the morning after pill, then you just have to hope for the best that she won't get pregnant. As of now we can't tell, but you can have her take a pregnancy test to check what the real score is.0

have spoken to my son, and he is talking her round to the MAP, but she wont go and get it, would they let my son buy it, they are still on school hols so school nurse not an option, will talk to them about the pill as at least that is a safety net.
thanks for all the replies0 -

As a former midwife I've heard of too many instances of pregnancy occurring at less-than-optimal times, at different times in the cycle, to trust to any statistical probability. The 'safe period' - remember that one (the only method of contraception permitted to Catholics) was well known to be anything but safe.
The only safe option would be the morning-after pill. Of course it's not abortion - although the cells are multiplying rapidly at this stage the cluster of cells has not yet travelled down the tube to implant itself in the uterus. Speed is of the essence.
And how on earth does a condom split? Condoms are not designed to split if used as intended, and not handled roughly, with sharp fingernails etc.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.
Before I found wisdom, I became old.0 -

I am embarrassed to admit that I seem incapable of opening a condom wrapper without tearing the condom ... and my nails are not that long! I tend to leave it to the man nowadays, or have lots of spares ...Gone ... or have I?0 -
It sounds as if she is scared/embarrassed to get the MAP. Have you offered to go with her? For support? She may feel better about it if there is an adult there to help her.
I remember getting the MAP once in the UK, when I was about 20/21, and the pharmacist was actually very rude and condescending about it, so I can understand how intimidating and scary it must be to a 15/16 year old.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

I honestly thought you were male.....
Back to the OP. The pill has less effect the longer you wait to use it too. Warning0 -

she is one of the shyest girls i have ever met, she is a very emotional girl and goes red if you so much as look at her. fortunately i am not shy and have no problems going round this evening to talk to her mum so someone else can make her see sense.0
