I phoned the TC to see what was happening with my claim, and they give me a number to call (specialist team I presume) I have never had a letter advising to call them.

I just phoned the main number again and they said that there was no record there that I should call specialist number so I should just wait - they reconfirmed that there is definitely a marker preventing my case being processed automatically. I get really stressed when I dont know what is going on - its horrid.

Hopefully you wont have to wait too long. I should expect you should hear something within the next week. Leave it until Wednesday and phone them back if you have heard nothing. Good luck

It has been 2.5 weeks nearly since I renewed on phone so I am sure you are right another week or so I should hear. I just wish I knew why a marker has been put on !

I received my renewal pack in april then 2 weeks later a specialist letter. I tryed to call specialist line over a couple of days it was either engaged or just ringing, no answer phone to leave messege so i called the main helpline to see what was going on as i was really worried when i got the letter and wanted to get it over with. I spoke to a lady told her that i couldnt get through so she said hold on and spoke to manager and then checked my file. She came back on the phone a told me she was able to do my renewal and started to ask income details then the usual, any changes to report ect. She said ok thats your bit done for this year and i would get a few awards in the post. Rang back couple of days later, still processing so managed to finally get through to specialist team told them what had happend and she put me on hold then asked me all my details again. She then asked me to send some info through the post before she could finish my renewal. But then this week i got an extra payment in new amounts. I really dont understand why if she said she wanted more info sent in. As this happend to anyone else?? Or does anyone have a clue wats going on??
Same thing happened 2 me but i only renewed through specialist team. Why they want all this sendin in i dont know but they have made a rite mess all this worry. Arnt they ment 2 b helpin us?

Yes they want me to send wage slips and proof of childcare for the whole of last year by 2nd june. I dont know what to do as i dont keep receipts n wage slips ive got some lieing around but not for the whole year. Hope they dont stop provisional payments on that day as i' goin to have to write to works head office see if they wil provide copys and same with childcare.

Oh dear - I would be the same with the childcare - I can give them my P60 for the wages but my childcare would be much harder - I would have to write to my provider and ask for copies of receipts. I guess if we don't provide them they will stop our payments and make us pay what we have already had back !! I wish I didn't have to claim tax credits it is too stressful.

Pinky87, I don't understand why you have to send this in if everything wasn't completed why have they finalised your renewal. They should have just waited. Have you been able to ring the number see why they need it. I don't understand why they need these things sending in if they have spoken to you and been given the figures. Why should we be treated any d.ifferent to other people who are renewing. It's really stressing me out, not helping as the letter suggests. These problems all seem to be happening because we were told incorrect information from the tax office not from our errors.

Do you think they are just doing random checks to make sure that what people say over the phone is the truth? I agreee it is horrid to be singled out.
I'm not sure what you mean about incorrect information though? I guess they can ask for proof any time they want?
