:eek:hi, i renewed through specilist number last friday. not heard anything since even though had 3 payments go in my bank this week..not good,,prob have to pay back..anyway, they just asked same questions as helpline but was prob a bit more thorough..said there was a£3000 fine for any false info givin..

Hiya i too had the letter to renew through specialist line. When did they start making the payments? Ive not rang yet was just wondering how long it takes to renew as last year it was done the next day. Ive been really worried about ringing them this year even though everythings the same apart frm changes i reported during the year. What questions did they ask you? I dnt understand as i have told them every thing i can.

Seems most people that have phoned to renew have had extra payments go into their bank accounts. Surely therefore this must mean they are happy with the information given else why would they make extra payments - it wouldn't make sense to make extra payments if people's claims have not been looked at would it???? For me, every year when I have phoned to renew I have always, a few days later had extra payments go into my bank and have never had problems before - am hoping I don't get asked to pay the money back and hoping this year is no different. I think the normal helpline inform you about a fine should you make a false statement, and I think this is also advertised on paperwork that you receive with your renewal pack - think it is just meant to reinforce the fact they want the correct information from people. I still think that these departments should all work together afterall between them they have all the information they need to do our claims - maybe its about time they started to work together and share information with one another!

Hiya, can someone whos renewed through specialist line help me. This is my first renewal since starting work. I have 3 children 2 of which i claim childcare for. What details do they ask? As everything is same as last time i informed them of a change. Do i need to work out childcare per year for each child or together and work it over the year. I really dont understand as 1 child attends childcare full time. 1 attends before and after school and full time during holidays. Also my income is it anything that shows on wage slips? I want to work everything out before i call. Can anyone help please?

Witter: Although I renewed via the main number I think the details they need will be the same. Are your wage slips an accumulative figure - what I mean is on your March 2010 wageslip does it hold the amount you have been paid over the year, if not you will need to wait for your P60. If you work out how much you pay in childcare in total per month for both your children I think this will be sufficient, but it wont hurt to break it down - after all it will only come to the same amount. They normally ask you if everything is still the same, in which case your answer would be yes the only details that would be/are different would be your wage details probably as they would have used the figure you were paid last year and most people get a wage rise, if only even a slight one each year. Hope this helps and makes some sense.

I also had one extra payment made this week and also received my award notice too.
All correct on there and seems to be done and dusted.
Tbh was far quicker and seamless than ringing usual helpline.

Thank you so much for all the comments. I worked everything out so i had all the yearly amounts. I tryed to ring specialist line again today 38 calls over 2 hours and still engaged so i rang main help line and asked what i should do as i wanted to get it over and done with. She asked me 2 password then usual name, address ect, she then said she just needed to check my claim then put me on hold. Couple of mins later said she can fully process it now so i asked if that would be ok and it wouldnt mess things up she then said it was totaly fine she had checked through my claim everything is correct and had spoken to supervisor who had agreed. So i gave her my income details agreed that nothing had changed and she processed it. Then said thats all gone through fine and i wil receive a few award notices in the couple of week. Has any1 else renewed this way and how long did it take to receive your payments??

    Hi Witter.

I did mine this way. Last Monday I did it. Nothing has been processed on mine yet. I checked yesterday and nothing has been finalised yet. :(
