specialist team for tax credits renewal (merged)

Can someone please confirm something? I have been sent the letter saying I am accepted and another letter will follow. Postman dropped off a 'you weren't in to sign for a letter' card this morning. I am not expecting anything, could it be WTC? The sorting office is closed now. Could my money be delayed now?0

We're still waiting for the final award for 09/10, despite renewing in May. Lost count how many times I rang up tax credits people to find out what was happening, sent off a complaint in July and received a reply that didn't answer anything at all. Rang the specialist team number (thanks for posting it on here
) who told me that the lady who is supposed to be doing the worklist that my tax credits declaration is in, is off until September because of the school holidays  and they couldn't push it through as they didn't have access to it! Needless to say, I sent off another complaint and am still waiting for another reply with their excuses - surely somebody else should have been drafted in to take over the caseload??
Anyway, kids are back at school this week, see how long it takes for the award to be finalised - I'm not holding my breath...0 -
Can you ring the specialist team without receiving a letter? just wondering.0

If want to you can but they'll check the notes and if the relevant note isn't there then you'll get directed to the usual helpline. (0845 300 3900). If you haven't got a letter you're probably wasting your time but you might, just might, get through to someone helpful.0 -

If you sent something into the Specialist Renewal Team using special or recorded delivery they may well have sent the information back to you using the same method. If so, it will need to be signed for. If your information has been accepted then your payments won't stop and you should get an award notice in the post in the near future.0 -
Can someone please help me? I was sent a letter asking for loads of paper work which i have sent off to them, I have tried phoning them but they are constintly engaged. Just want to check that they have received the paperwork as i had sent my p60 and wage slips to them and they never received them and was advised to send them through internal mail at my local tax office.0

Hi! I was also requested to send P60 etc about 4 weeks ago - today I have just received them back with short letter saying that my Tax Award notice would be sent to me shortly....
When did you send the info off? I think there is still a huge backlog so don't worry too much- although its hard not too!!!0 -
Hi Bernice50, got home from work today to find they have sent me back all my paperwork that i sent with a letter saying they would be writing to me shortly about my tc claim. I thought once i got these back it would relieve some of the stress but still in limbo! Just wished they would hurry up and tell me!! They have had all my paperwork since the begining of July0

just an update after phoning specialist team on monday got my final award through and an extra small payment into bank for underpayment so in less than 5 days of contacting specialist team its all done and sorted.
Could you possibly post the number of the specialist team again as I've looked but not found it so far. This thread is getting pretty long. They got my paperwork in May and all I get from them is that it's being processed.
Many thanks0 -
Ive recently recieved a letter saying that to make sure we get your payments right please can you send us the following:
childcare contract
reciepts/proof of payment to childcare
p60
all wage slips from your job
any p45 you may have recieved
proof of hours worked
In September last year i wrote to tell them that childcare had stopped due to my child starting school so i dont understand why they are asking for childcare but when i think about i cant remeber if i recieved a letter saying they have recieved this letter and the money never went down but i thought it gets rectified when the new renewal comes out (my circumstances have never changed before) .
I did fill in the annual review form and only filled in the income details but i cant think if i read or saw anything about childcare on the form as i was in a rush to get it sent off as i was late.
Im panicking now because if it was on the form then ive signed agreeing to childcare details and also i can't send them any details on childcare payments as he has not been in nursery for a year, i can send the proof of earnings etc.
Has anyone had any dealings with this specialist team before, its obvious i would have recieved overpayment i am aware of this but dont know what to do about the change i sent them as i dont think i have a copy of the letter and also i didnt get proof of posting but i defintley let them know about it.
please help!!
thanks you in advance0
