I finally got round to calling them yesterday, Just the normally questions, however they were very interested in my childcare costs, asked me to give them a breakdown of how they are worked out so they could justify them..... Told them I happy for them to call the nursery and double check with them as I've got nothing to hide, They asked for there phone number, So guess the reason I've got the letter from the specialist team is that there checking my childcare is genuine.

Don't know why they just never contacted the nursery in the first place, I could have gave them coco the clowns phone number for all they know, Seems a bit bizarre
  • Hi This is my first year reciving tax credits soo Confused!
I havent recived a letter from the spiecalist team or anything , Just got a renewal for to fill in which I have done and sent back! Does this mean I could still get a letter from them asking to renew with the spiecalist people or should that just be sorted now?? Arr

It's now been 7 weeks since I renewed on the phone. Still nothing! I might ring them yet again but I don't suppose I'll get anywhere with them. They give us a time limit but they can take as long as they like!

finaly got to speak to speacialist team on monday apart from telling me off in a very nice way as i havent done my self employed tax return yet
lady said she would finalise that all for me now so i didnt have to chase it up with lots of phone calls.

fingers crossed we will see what happens

no childcare involved though and did take me a few attempts to get them.

My renewal was received by them 10 weeks ago and I am still waiting..... I recieved a provisional award notice through but nothing had been processed on it from my renewal. I have called them several time and asked if any problems and I am told everytime no. Hopefully here something soon.

Took ages to get through to the helpline number but once again I've asked why I've heard nothing after 7 weeks. Advisor didn't have a clue! Suggested I ring the specialist team number which he gave me. That's a job for tomorrow! If only they would tell us what is happening but it seems that can do what the heck they like

 This is so frustrating! Still nothing, feel like screaming! Is it worth phoning them? It has been renewed the lady from the specialist team told me that?! Never had to wait like this before in the last 6 years since I had my kids......why is this year so different??????

I've more chance of speaking to Father Christmas! I've been trying to get through to the specialist team but I'm getting no further than "all our advisors are busy". What a shambles this is turning out to be  If the company I work for treated it's customers like this, we wouldn't last long.

I'll keep trying and watch my phone bill go up
