I called the Specialist Team last Monday-and to my surprise after trawling through this thread on a daily basis, the lady was so nice and friendly, It make so much difference and puts you at ease.
I underestimated my income by 1.5k, and asked her a few questions regarding this-like will my payments drastically change etc, and she was very reassuring!
Anyway I have childcare costs of £820 per month for 2 children in only half the week-so very high, I was waiting on a wee brown letter for proof etc, which isn't a problem, as they attend Careshare which is the biggest chain of nurseries in Scotland.
Anyway postie arrived yesterday-2 brown enevelopes-I was like what now? But it was my Final Award for 09-10 and new award for 10-11! Thats what I call good service!
I want to take this opportunity to thank Tax Credit Credit Help for all his info etc throughout this thread, and I believe it is NOT an investigation, just an exercise for those with high claims, but obviously if there was any discrepancies this would be looked into.
good luck everyone-now I can finally sleep at night!:TWedding on hold until 2011. Mummy to DD1 3/2/6 DD2 5/10/7! Mortgaged to my eyeballs!0 -

Why on earth did you leave your child with someone without checking they are registered ? Have you reported this person to ofstead ?0 -

Did you ask for her registration details?
There are reasons that childcare providers have to be registered, in order to protect children. In all honesty, if you've not checked the registration details (never mind CRB status) of someone who you are handing your baby over to every day, then frankly, not only have you been overpaid, you've also failed your child, by not ensuring they are cared for by suitably qualified, registered and CRB checked individuals. All over the place, from the popular culture to the propaganda system, there is constant pressure to make people feel that they are helpless, that the only role they can have is to ratify decisions and to consume.0 -

Have you rang them asking what's happening, how long has it been, I just rang and spoke to a nice guy and he said they have now got my p60 and the person is on holiday that is sorting mine out so it won't be done till Monday or tuesday, let's hope yours is sorted soon, I would ring them if I was you, put your mind to rest0 -
Confused.com! After reading this post I assumed I would be asked for documents as proof of my claim. I sent my renewal form off. I have had no postal communication or telephone communication from Tax Credits but today have had two payments in my bank that are pretty random. Will I definitely be asked for documentation? And if so why the heck would they pay out money to me before receiving said documentation!!0
