specialist team for tax credits renewal (merged)

We received a letter from the specalist team in April. After numerous attempts to renew via the dedicated line, could never get through, I decided to renew via post. I sent a covering letter explaining why I was renewing via post and include childcare details in full and said all details on the renewel declaration were correct.

Today have received the provisional renewel letter, I believe the actual declaration isn't sent till next April; when full income details for the year are available. Everything thankfully is fine and a little extra payment too boot as well!

Please help I have sent my p60 and childcare proof to the cto nearly three weeks ago, I keep phoning the specialist team but they still haven't received anything from me yet I hope it's not been lost and they don't seem bothered I was told to do this by 21st June and if they haven't received anything by then I hope they don't stop my money, has this happened to any one else and how long does it take to renew

I sent everything off on the 12th May and heard back today!

Did you send the P60 etc by recorded delivery?

Thanks I had to register again so name is a little different so yours took about a month that's good news then, I just phoned main line and said my concerns about my stuff being lost they said they will try and find it but just to wait to hear from them so I will wait another two weeks and see

No only by their envelope I should off will do next time, so I don't have all this worry

I'd imagine it's in someones in tray waiting for them to look at it!

The provisional award is not the final award. Ive had 2 of these already and im still waiting for one of my documents to be sent back. As far as im aware your award will not be finalised till you have actually spoken to this team. Im still waiting on my final award and ive had an extra payment too but its not finalised.
My advice would be to phone the specialist team as thats why you will have been sent a provisional just now.

To be honest as long as we're getting the money paid in the bank I'm happy! lol

I hope so just want it finished, as I need proof that I am getting child tax only this year, for another reason and cannot get one until it's finished and I get my reward

I agree lol. If they want you to phone specialist team before deadline on 31st July then im sure they will write to you again and tell you to contact them.:)
