morning ladies
speedy up labour vibes for kitkat and xmas, hope things start to be a bit more consistent for you both!
Not a great night's sleep for me, up at 2.30 and 3.30 and then awake from about 6.30. Decided may as well get up a while ago so have at least eaten now.
Slightly concerned as much less movement from bubs yesterday and today so far, but perhaps it's just as there was constant movement on Friday. I think perhaps it has got into a slightly different position. Is always much quieter in the mornings anyway, usually much more noticeable in the evenings. I'll see how it goes this morning I guess.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
*fingers crossed* Merf.
Thanks Xmas. Duno wot to do with myself really! Just listened to my hypnobirthing cdI'm bit unsure what to do as my mum visited yesterday and had seen someone about her arm, she's been to this woman for her back. I asked her to ask if she could look at my back following the birth as I've had lots of problems with it and the lady was v interested in seeing me on Monday. I can't remember what she does but it's almost like homeopathic type alternative therapy. She reckons she can treat my cervix, sort about bubs and get labour progressing straight away with just touching my belly/ different points and sort my back. I'm really keen as I don't think anything is guna happen and I'm seeing MW fri and I'm sure I'll get a sweep which I'm dreading. Do I go see this lady?! OH isn't keen and thinks I should wait, I feel like I've waited a week and I bet it'll be another 3 the way it's going as I'm sure the pains/ contractions are lessening
what should I do?!

Kitkat i've never tried homeopathy so dont really know but i have read things where people swear by it. I certainly wouldnt let them near me if it is just a hobby though always use someone qualified as certain things are a deffinate no no for pregnant ladies. As long as they are licensed and have experience of working with pregnant women i dont believe it can do any harm its just a case of it will work or it wont. I would at least speak to her and see what it is she wants to do exactly you can then do some research and decide if its something you want to go for :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Thanks Xmas sorry I didn't mention she is qualified and is also a qualified MW just retired to start her own business. Might phone my mum later and get more info from her. She reckoned it would cause no harm as she specialises in pregnant ladies and that it would cause me no pain and make me feel much calmer. Think I will do my research like you said as it all seems to good to be true. just really want to avoid having to be induced or having a section which I think is going to happen atm.
Me and OH weighed ourselves last night. During pregnancy I have gained 8lbs and he has gained a stone! I'm surprised that I haven't put on much more as I do feel huge. I still weigh more than OH though which I hate0 -
Sorry I just had to mention, Kitkat don't forget you're not actually due yet.. personally I'd wait til I'd passed the due date before I thought about intervening
Good luck, and Xmas tooxxx
:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0 -
KK - Sounds similar to reiki to me...... babies apparently come when they are good and ready.....so if baby does come, you can never be sure if its intervention that does it, or just baby's time.....
If it were me, I'd do it......but then im a sucker for those types of things...Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Thanks Saz
I do keep thinking that think I'm just so fed up. Maybe I'll wait and see if I go over due. Think lack of sleep is catching up I feel sooo tired!
Thanks CafcI'll try get details. I'm also v into stuff like this so it's tempting. Might see how today goes as I feel like sucha grump ! wish hadn't got up 6am

When does midwife start giving you guestimations of weight?? She's not mentioned anything to me yet(other than saying I was perfect:A) next appointment is on Monday when I'll be 28 weeks. Going off mine & DHs birth weights we're expecting a 6lber which is fine by me:)
I'm not sure they do as a rule, and unless you have significantly more screening than normal, it's total guesswork anyway. Last time my bump consistently measured 4 weeks too small, and I had a 9lb 4oz baby, and my friend who was pg at the same time was huge, 3 weeks ahead of her dates, and hers was 5lb 13oz. Every midwife and doctor I spoke to told me I would have a small baby, but clearly the size of the bump doesn't mean much.
Not sure if there is any relation, but DS was exactly the same weight at birth as I was.0 -
KK - Just lounge all day hun, and make your OH bring you whatever you might want. Even if you dont "sleep" as such, you'll be resting your body (and mind), hot milk or chamomile tea might help you relax and potentially nap a bit....
I've been up since half 5 and its shocking how much longer the days seem than when I used to get up at 9am.... how I miss those days LOL
Is there anything you've got left to get for baby now, just in case I've got some spares going LOLWealth is not measured by currency0
