I told DH that you were going to ask OH to check your cervix xmas and he said, 'you must be joking, I'm not a bloody gynaecologist!'

He's been beavering away all afternoon and the desk is up, things rearranged...we now just have to rehome 2 guitars somewhere in there! After being quiet all morning the baby has now woken up :) I've just been lazily lying on the sofa reading, though I did clean the bathroom and nip to the shop for a red bull for dh.

Well he did it (couldnt wait until tuesday) and he said it was all soft and had what felt like a small hole he could insert his finger into so maybe i am slightly dialated not much has happened though in the during the day but i am getting some really bad pains now but nothing regular or to shout about yet :-)

oooh, hope something is happening xmas

Think i had my first BHs last night. Was getting into bed and firstly thought I'd pulled a tummy muscle, yelped and DH came in..then realised whole bump had gone solid and hurt a bit...does that sound like it?

If he can fit one finger into the opening of the cervix it will be dialated to however big his finger is. Usually the width of 1 finger is seen as 1cm but having seen my OH's fingers it may be worth measuring lol. Basic dilation chart here

    Hi ladies

CAFC - you posted on FB about being back in your size 8 jeans so don't come over here pretending to be all blobby still :rotfl::p

    Gorgeous pics Pigpen and CAFC
Right, off to do more cleaning :D

    Blobby blobby blobby.....

Its all above the waist line of my jeans ;)

P.S re the birth stories, i still cant remember any of his birth apart from the walk in for my induction, saying "hello team" when they introduce the theatre team and trying to cough for a whole day whilst holding a towel over my stitches....

HV thinks I may have birth trauma and my mind is blocking it out :o And I'm quite happy for it to stay that way :p

Hi all - hope you don't mind me joining in?

Typical - I only find this thread at the end of my pregnancy but I'm glad to see I'm not alone and there are lots of other M2Bs who are really ready to pop now. I'm 40+3 so bump could arrive any time now... with any luck!

Have only managed to read a few pages so far but as my OH is working tonight and has promised to put our DD in bed before he goes out I will have a couple of hours to catch up a bit! :)

Have subscribed so hope to be posting more soon! LG x

Tickle he has very big hands but his fingers are slim so will go with the 1cm, better than nothing but i recon i will have a few days left yet if it doesnt all stop in the mean time. :-)

Cafc ((hugs)) chick it cant have been pleasant, no doubt you will want to know one day but if your happy then let it lie i say x

Rach i'm quite lucky with my OH he isnt slightest bit squeemish comes from being in the army i think he just gets on with suff like that i just had to reassure him he wasnt going to do any damage :-)

Courgette yay for the unblocked drain you can have your home birth with out worrying now :-)

Xmas, if you've already had babies then you can be 1cm for the last few weeks of pregnancy... I would stick with eviction plan ;)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I know Krystal but if i think like that i will depress myself. Eviction plan is still in full swing so fingers crossed we can kick start things i'm still getting the painful tightenings but that could just be stress as the kids are just about getting on my last nerve and they have only been back an hr, i'm also stressing about the state of the house it just doesnt seem to stay straight for more than one day then im back to square one so if nothing happens tonight its another big clean tomorrow then the kids are being kicked out during the day (weather allowing) so it will stay relatively tidy for a while.

Right i'm going to wind bubs down now and hopefully have him tucked up by 7:30. DS1 is already in bed for hitting his sister and once she is on her own she is as quiet as a mouse so i can relax and get bouncing on my ball :-)

I asked DH if he'd like to feel my cervix.

    He said no thanks.

    He doesn't deserve to anyway!!:p

I've just had a pint of tango and a chicken kebab. I didn't enjoy or want the kebab but had it cos the boys were having a donner kebab (yuck!!) and it was easier to get something from the same place:( I would like another pint of tango though:) I'm soooo thirsty.
