I dont get internal stretching pains but my skin feels like its going to split open most days now its awful. I do get stitch quiet easily though but thats only when im walking about so its more to do with movement than stretching.

Well i took the plunge today and bought the tommee tippee bottles they still seems a bit alien to me with their weired shape but sil is using them for her daughter and got to feed her the other day and they do seem easier for the the babs to use. So fingers crossed they wont leak :-)

I found something which could have been very useful today in ethal austin it was complete unit that held the bottles for draining there was space for the teats and everything and held 6 bottles, i get sick of the rings sliding through the gaps in my drainer back into the sink it was £10 though and the bottles that came with it looked really cheap and nasty so didnt go for it but i think if they reduced the cost and just had the rack without the bottles it could be fab.

It was similar emsy but was more open and didnt collect the water just let it drain away like a normal draining board would. I never realised they actually made these things.

Forgot to mention as well all their stores will be closing down shortly for refurbishment as they have been taken over and will open with a new name so keep your eyes open there may be some bargains to be had there is already alot of stuff on at half price but im holding off for the moment as im sure the prices will come down even further :-)

    good evening ladies.
need a massive vent I HATE MIDWIFE APPOINTMENTS ARGH
when i have to go and see the community midwife its like a drop in centre, first come first served kinda thing! which i think is ridiculous i dont see why they cant give each person an appointment! so i was told the clinic starts at 12. got there at 11.50 and was 2nd in the queue. then 2 ladies arrived after me. so we all sat there 12.30 came and still no sign of midwife. so one lady sent her partner round to reception to find out what was happening and was told "yea clinic is definatley today we just dont know what time midwife is coming" cue 4 very angry pregnant ladies! im sorry but i work full time and dont have all bloody day to sit and wait! FINALLY i got into see her at 1 o'clock. i dont know how my blood pressure wasnt through the roof. and she was clearly trying to rush me cos there was people still waiting to be seen. and she decided today was the day to give me the lecture on smoking, yes i know its bad, and yes i know im harming my baby i dont need you giving me a lecture on it when im trying my best. ive cut down from 20 to about 4/5 per day, i know thats still carp but for me its a huge improvement and every day im trying. that sounds crap and i feel like an awful mother now.:(

was in mothercare and they had a huge sale today it was mostly boys stuff and alot was half price. didnt buy anything though im going to wait and see what everyone else gets me first :rotfl: also tried out a few of the prams. think i have decided against the travel systems as i dont drive etc. although they do seem to be the cheaper option. but omg how i wish i had the money for a bug-a-boo they are amazing!!

got my hair done today its amazing how much it can lift your spirits :D

rach your baby sounds like they are in the same position as mine. midwife said he was still head down although i was convinced he had moved back up and was laying straight across me. how do we know when head is engaged??

well im off to bed now hopefully i get some uninteruppeted sleep

    night

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    It's 1.30 am and I'm fuming again :mad::mad:
Just sat in the pub with OH and 4 of his mates (only one of whom has a child, she had an horrific time and had to have a blood transfusion) while they all berate me for not wanting loads of medical intervention, not wanting to stay in hospital - where it's "safer" apparently and shock horror that I actually believe I know my body better than a doctor who has never met me before. I was really upset that OH didn't support me more as he knows how I feel about hospitals. I didn't go when I had swine flu last year, I didn't go when I fractured my wrist, the only reason I am going to have the baby is because I have strep B and I would rather have an IV drip than the baby catch it.
The girl who has had a baby just snorted when I said I wanted a birth pool. Mind you, these are people that quite happily shovel any amount of drugs into their systems so the idea of getting wasted courtesy of NHS is probably a bonus (not my OH mind, he doesn't touch anything like that or I wouldn't be with him). I was really !!!!ed off a faked indigestion and stomach ache so we could leave. He's now snoring like only someone who has been drinking beer can, and I'm on the sofa !!!!ed off.
I feel better for a rant though :p

Dream sounds like and awful day for you, sounds like a terrible system that they dont give you an appointment. As for the smoking we all have bad habits and you have done your best going from 20 a day to 4-5 is no mean feat especially with all the hormones raging so you go girl :-) x

Budget ignore them having to have a blood transfusion and their complete incompetance is the very reason i dont want this baby in hospital. When i had my second one i came up against a great brick wall when i wanted a home birth, the ex his family the doctors the midwives all said i was mental so i went into hospital and had an awfull time once again. With the third i explained everything to OH he couldnt have been more different he was so supportive of my choices and his family were behind me 100% i think it helped his sil had had a homebirth so they new it wasnt something awful that should be avoided. All i can say is do what you feel is right chick although things didnt work out for my homebirth with bubs i still had the most relaxing birth compared to the other two as it was on my terms. As for your OH did he say anything against your choices or just it there if its the latter i wouldnt worry to much men dont like to rock the boat and im sure he is behind you 100% maybe once you have calmed down let him know how much it upset you that he didnt back you up. Fingers crossed you get the birth you want hun :-) xx

welcome claire - the knowledge and support on here is fab

Sorry to those who had bad days yesterday. dreambirdie what a ridiculous way of working, budgetblonde those people sound like idiots to me.

don't really have any plans today, I might brave going into town as I have something to return to mothercare. Would also like to order the cotbed mattress, found this or this one on amazon which looks quite good too. There are also some on kiddicare and also babysrus...which are more pricey, but I don't mind paying more if they are better for the baby!
