Thankfully they don't do home visits here :rotfl:
The monsters have gone out for the day and I was looking forward to sorting this craphole out but now my Ipod won't charge! aaargh!!
Also we've got the new neighbours in next door and OH is away and all the kids played up this morning, claiming to have 'looked everywhere' for their shoes until half an hour of screaming (by them) in response to being told to find them I find them on the bl**dy shelf they're meant to be kept on!!!!
so they probably think we're the family from hell
Oh well.
I agree with everyone else, I've got what seems like ages to go and I'm sick of people asking me now. I wonder what chance I've got of persuading bubs to arrive in the last week of August :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

happy days xmas i am totally carp with DIY things round the house i cant even change a plug :rotfl:
freebie you sound so organised i am so jealous. i agree with the others Kat if you want to buy stuff go ahead! i think its older people have superstisions (sp?) about having stuff such as the pram in the house.
budget i hope you were able to get some sleep, dont listen to what your OHs mates were saying they sound as if they dont have a clue anyways.
agrees with everyone else about people saying not long now etc. its starting to get on my nerves. everytime i say i have 9 weeks to go people seem shocked which of course makes me feel like the size of an elephantalthough i know im really not. in fact ive just weighed myself and have put on just about a stone :T although im aware theres pleanty of time to put some more on!! think im going to make some vegetable soup later. i really really want some fish and chips but it has made me sick everytime ive eaten it so far. although may give it another go tonight just to see.
hope everyone has a lovely day0 -
*rant alert*
DH is really upsetting me and driving me mad today. Pretty much from the moment he got up he's been grouchy. Then he came and apologised and said 'let's go out for lunch', so we did but then he refused to go into starbucks or neros as there was a small queue in each place and, shock horror, they weren't completely empty! SO he went to get cash to go to the local cafe, but there was a queue at all the cashpoints so wouldn't wait. I couldn't manage to walk straight home after walking up there (hips are v bad) so I ended up in starbucks on my own, eating and weeping! Since I got back it has been constant moaning, basically he's blaming me for the fact I can't walk far and therefore we can't go out for a proper walk, saying if I hadn't been unfit and overweight before getting pg I would be ok. And he wants to move, and our life is boring and is only going to get worse etc etc. I am so upset and angry, he never wants to do anything I suggest on a weekend anyway...basically all he wants to do is go walking, but not on his own, with me!
I went for a lie down eventually and then he came in and disturbed me (wasn't asleep in fact) saying he was going to find some lunch as we have no food and having a go at me for buying strawberries & raspberries!
I know it will pass, he gets like this from time to time when he feels trapped but I'm so angry he doesn't think of how it's affecting me. I am seriously wondering if I have SPD as I can't walk or stand for more than about 5 minutes without being in agony.
He's gone to water his parents garden now which I also got moaned at for as I said we'd do it whilst they're on hols.
sorry ladies, *rant over*Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Hello Rach - sorry your OH is giving you a hard time, he's being really unfair on you. Hopefully he'll have calmed down once he gets back. I'm thinking it might be worth going to the drs and telling them about your hips though - I don't know much about SPD, but from what other people have said, it sounds like that may be causing you the pain.... You may as well have a diagnosis if it is, then it should keep OH off your back about walking...
Hope the rest of the day is better for you.0 -
Rach, ask for a physio referral. That should help you a bit.
As for your OH, that's such a man thing! Maybe he's a bit freaked out by the idea of being a Dad soon. That's no excuse to be so rude though. I hope your day gets better :kisses3:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Thanks sweaty betty & delain! I know he's bored, I am a bit too, but it's just life at the moment. Maybe I will go to Drs re hips, I really didn't think it was SPD but surely at 30 weeks it's not normal to be this bad?!
He has apologised now and I think you're right it's a bit of a panic etc but that's no excuse! He went and bought me a magnum from the shop and he's now taking out his grumpiness on the ps3!
Have just ordered cotbed mattress though so one more thing done.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

I've got SPD and your symptoms sound similar to mine. Hopefully, mine will improve now I haven't got to sit on the floor waiting for buses all day. I was told that the best help was to keep your knees together (physio did laugh then I told her it was a bit late for that to be any help :rotfl:) do lots of pelvic floor exercises, and what she described as 'cat stretches' If it's a while before your next MW appointment your GP can do a referral for you.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

thanks delain - it's the walking and standing that hurts so much, If i walk for 5 mins then stand for any time at all I get a burning type sensation/pain in my lower back/hips. I don't really get the clicking type feeling that I've read a lot of people with SPD do get though which is why I thought it was something else like sciatica.
I must confess I've been rubbish at doing pelvic floor exercises, think I need to set a reminder on my phone to do them, am hoping a gentle swim might help too. I'm slightly worried as I was born with hip problems which I thought were completely resolved, and then I slipped walking a few years ago and hurt my hip again, had physio etc but I was a bit rubbish at doing the exercises but it did get better over time and walking to and from the station each day seemed to keep it mobile...I tried to walk home from the station last week and could only just make it (about 12 min walk)
DH has cheered up a bit and is looking online at new pcs, we have the money from my gran to spend.
I've just done my bikini line (a job and a half!) ready for swimming tomorrow. Going to do a bump pic in a bit.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
I think this may be what I have, rather than SPD or sciatica!
Have made Drs appointment (with GP who used to be obstetrician) on Wed. Could get one on Monday or Tues but this fits in best with work so I think probably best. I love online Drs booking!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Dreambirdie - I am very sad and like things to be very organised they take the mickey out of me at work for it - actually its the one thing that bugs me about other people esp at work when people dont get their backsides into gear and get stuff done!!!
Well have just listed lots bits of ebay its free listing weekend so may find some other bits but have put on the newborn girls things I brought and couldnt resist when didnt know what we were having so they are new with tags, reluctanly selling the cute frilly knickers!! Also selling lots ladies dresses designer debenhams ones sadly some new with tags and some worn once as I have a little addiction to nice dresses but no room sadly. - cant believe how much room all this baby stuff is taking up.
really must go to shop and buy some veggies as we have been eating all the garden ones picked as needed or in case of potatoes dug as needed and we have eaten them all - only have a small garden. been saying since 2pm must go to shops!!0
