I've put on about 1st 4lb so far...at almost 29 weeks. My appetite has gone down again the last couple of weeks, certainly the sugar cravings have but partly I've been trying to keep them in check. I find I am really hungry in the mornings and afternoons but by the time we have dinner I find it really hard to stomach. I could happily live on cereal and fruit bread at the moment! Because I was overweight anyway (5ft and was 12st3lb pre preg i think, but didn't look so heavy) I have been trying to not go mad!

I am swelling up a bit now though and have had to take my engagement ring off :(

DH has had a go at me about a couple of things tonight, not sure why but hey. Nothing serious though he's just had an annoying day at work I think and despite the fact he's meant to have tomorrow off (he works 9 out of 10 days) he has to go in as has a lot to do. Apparently I am breathing like a very unfit sweaty man on the train....nice! Sad thing is I know it's true as my nose is blocked and my own breathing noise is driving me mad!

Spent a small fortune on next to nothing in M&S as all the on offer deli stuff had gone, should've just bought less! I've also done an online shop which will come tomorrow so we'll have some food at least, food is so expensive these days! Hopefully once I'm on mat leave can save some money on that kind of thing!

I'm doing that too i think its a mixture of hayfever and the fact that little lady is squashing my lungs so cant breath as deeply as i normally would. I have also been informed by my OH that i am snoring like a trooper when im asleep. I cannot get my nose to unblock properly at all but i have put that down to being pregnant as it has been the same with the other three and clears up pretty much within days of giving birth.

OH's are great aint they for some reason they insist on pointing out all the things that we really dont want or need to hear :(

Ta for info on breastfeeding. Do you think it is NHS propaganda saying it will help you loose weight to encourage more mums to do it (to tick their little boxes for quota of mums b/feeding)?

I think it is very misleading of them to suggest such things.. but the people who write these things have no training or studying they just blarb rubbish for the uneducated masses because only stupid people have babies and if they put proper statistics and the truth the end user wouldn't understand it.

It is all about ticking their little boxes.. which is why they hate me lol.. I don't play their games, I won't tick a box, I don't fit into any category.. and I won't be part of their inadequate services. I am therefore a big black mark on the PCT books..

you should have heard the hoohar when I cancelled a drs appointment on Monday.. they sent me a letter saying this appt had been made for me (like I am !!!!!! and cannot make my own appt should I want or need one!) so I rang to cancel..

I get 'oh!, I don't know if i can cancel it... one sec'...

5 minutes later 'I can rebook for a more convenient day if you want?' .. Thursday is quite convenient I reply.. I just don't want an appointment I am not unwell or sick in any way so please give the appt to someone who thinks they are'..
'one sec...' another 5 minutes ..
'I can't cancel it without making another because the dr made it for you'..
'Does the dr know for certain I am going to be illl come Thursday?' ...
    'sorry?' ...
'Does the dr.. KNOW.. I am going to develop an illness between now and Thursday? Because if I cannot have some guarantee I WILL be ill on Thursday I want this cancelling because I do not want or need an appointment or I would ring and make one.. because I am a grown up and can do that..' ..
'one sec'... an eternity later... 'the appointment is cancelled'...
    'thank you .. bye...'

apparently you are not 'allowed' to refuse all intervention.. :D:D:D:D

I made canneloni (sp?) tonight, I haven't eaten much cooked food at all lately :o and I don't want to know how much weight I've put on! As I said yesterday some people have said I've lost weight apart from my bump but I think they're wrong because my thighs are huuge :o I think it's just the mahoosive bump making the rest of me look smaller :rotfl:

I'm finding the kicks quite painful now actually sometimes, went to tesco with my mum this morning then came home and slept till 1.40  (I needed to leave at 1.42!) Good job I got that bus though, the later one got caught up and didn't pass the school till 3.45, by which time we were waiting for the one home!

It's raining now here again, it was bizarre today, freezing wind and rain this morning, then it abruptly got boiling hot at about 2.30, then back to blowy and wet.

Can't remember much about what was said now to reply :o I hope we get some baby announcements soon though!

PMSL thats just class love it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I do think that some medical practioners think we become !!!!!! when we get pregnant. I have the opposite problem round here they dont seem to give a damn about anything and if you have a real problem they just dont want to know and wont listen. I will swap doctors with you if you like ;)

lol pig pen, I hope you deal with tele marketers the same way
on the weight subject I've put on 1 stone 7 lbs so far.
my appetite been a tad rubbish though since being pregnant, not been hungry at all really.
I also admit to snoring now and getting out of breath, I've been snotty since December, not really felt blooming, lol.
My HB was 10.0 when it was last done, down from 13 at the beginning, I'm just taking boots own iron supplements, which my midwife says fine. Pig Pen I think you'd actually like my midwife, she admits quite a few protocols are stupid and says if you want to refuse them, that is fine, she's quite straight talking.
After my rotten week, hubby has treated me to a meal out, ate 1/2 main course but feel fit to burst. We don't go out that often at all, so it was nice.

no.. I am really evil to them... Let them waffle for ages. ask loads of inane questions then say.. nah don't want it anyway I just wanted to waste your time. :p

or I pretend I 'no speak english' and pretend I think they are my crazy relative from wherever.. or that I am a takeaway and want their order..

Or I ask who is calling then ask myself if I am in.. and then who it is and what they want.. then say no tell them I don't want to speak to them.. then proceed to argue with myself..

mostly I just don't answer the phone.. lol

Lol Pigpen you do crack me up! Think I'll try that one, my way of dealing with telesales is a bit horrible- if I don't want them calling again I say whoever they're calling for has deceased, they usually apologise and never call again! Does sound awful though!

I must catch up with posts at some point
