I don't want to be induced this time, it's happened to me twice now, isn't it supposed to make everything more painful? It'd be nice to find out if it's easier this time!

Not quite the same thing, but I went into labour naturally but due to an epidural, I was progressing slowly by 6cm so I was put on the Syntocinon drip - it made the contractions much much much more intense and painful when the epidural wore off than the ones I'd had pre epidural. Then again, it also made me fully dilate in what felt like minutes! Everyone else I've spoken to seems to agree though that inductions are definitely more painful than going naturally so here's hoping you get to miss the induction this time :)

    Very very odd indeed!

I feel for her, she must have been really worried when she sterted getting symptoms.

Just back from my 25 week MW appointment, and funnily enough we were talking about inductions today. She reckons they are best avoided as they tend to be more painful and require more medical intervention later on as your body is being forced into labour rather than going naturally. Though she did say it can be less of a trauma if you are over your due date, since your body should be nearly ready for labour and might just need a little nudge in the right direction. (Though I have heard that she's really old-fashioned and hates any form of drugs being used during labour, so this could be why she's also against inductions - thankfully I'm not planning on giving birth at the hospital where she works ;))

I'm also measuring above average, so looks like Flump might be a big 'un.

Bigbird: YAY for all the 'above average' fattie babies!! Mines measuring one week over but I dont think it will be massive, I think MWs sometimes go abit 'textbook' with sizes, babies are a lot bigger these days so I am sure its nothing to worry about!

Just phoned tax credits helpline and spoke to a lovely gentleman who was very helpful. He estimated my claim for August and hopefully things won't change too much so it might actually cover my rent, I had these horrible visions of living back with my parents with all my furniture, me and my baby squashed up in my old bedroom!! I shall see what happens though as the government might decide to change all this!! They are scrapping the baby element of tax credits next year which is a PITA  am I missing something here.. do babies not cost us a penny to cloth, feed, buy nappies, etc??! Rant over! :rotfl:

They are increasing certain elements though so you may find you are no worse off and it should be easier for you to claim the sure start grant if you can :-)

I am so very disgustingly tired today.. I have the chimps to despatch off to their dads tonight until Sunday.. and I am putting my pj's on tonight and staying in them until Monday when I need to take the grubs to school!

I think those stories of absorbed twins are more bizarre.. DD1's twin was enveloped in her placenta which was weird enough but having one actually growing in the remaining child must be more bizarre!

Apparently my bump is very very low today.. and baby is barely moving so I think we may have a couple of days left.. if that.. (tomorrow would be perfect in terms of school and the other children!)

I may need another snooze.. I've already been asleep an hour this afternoon..
