    Hello all,

I had my MW home visit yesterday morning; it went well. I am still measuring one week over but my dates are remaining the same. She also confirmed my suspisions that the baby's head has engaged, she said I could have the baby at any point from now!!!
    !

I hope baby does come early for you if you are wanting it to come a bit earlier - my lo was engaged from 34 weeks though and I'm still pregnant at 40+3!! :o

My midwife said that the some baby's do engage early but it doesn't make an early delivery that much more likely in her opinion so who knows!!!! :rotfl:

Yeah I just dont feel like I belong on the parents thread, and Ive come to know all you guys and I miss the banter...but saying that Ive posted q's on the parent thread and everyone has always been very helpful and nice... its just me I think....

Landen's routine isnt really out of a book exactly. I have to write everything down since I have no memory since his birth, literally of his birth or anything thereafter. I write down when he feeds, how much he takes, when he naps and for how long and theres a vague pattern. It just helps me plan for things like having a bottle ready, getting bottles washed and sterilised, and now Im just trying to develop a bed time routine with him, so half 6 i sort out a bath or top/tail for him, then we have some naked time on his towel, then he feeds around 7, and then he gets put to bed as thats when he was taking his longest sleep of the day.....:A so thats when the lights are kept low to try and build his awareness between night and day.....

He did very well in Primark, was there early and it was raining out so hardly anyone in there, and he pulled a gaggle of staff by the tills.... such a little heart breaker....:T

He sounds brilliant CAFC :T, like he has made his own routine anyway! Useful info there though thanks, I know that I will need to write everything down (I am like that anyway).

    Pulling already! Bless him! :):)

ETA - I'll stop stalking now lol!!!!

OT: I bought some baby clothes in white off ebay and they are all in great condition but some are looking a bit grim - looks like they've been washed with darks at some point. Anyone any ideas of how to get these white again - I was wondering if that stuff you can buy for nets would work?

Try soda crystals in the machine then hang them out to dry in the next bit of sun we get. Sometimes it works depends how bad they are :-)

bit of advice ladies...had an email from my boss asking what happened monday as my calendar says 'leave early for blood test' from 3.30pm, but i put 4.30 in my timesheet! I'd done so as I thought appointments like this counted as work time - am I right? I sent an email explaining and haven't heard back, he's probably fine about it but I just feel a bit funny now, and think I need to make sure I'm working hard when I'm at home so they don't think I'm slacking. I think I will put short (truthful) hours down for today so that they know I'm not taking the p!ss!

It could have just been a contamintated pee stick... It happens... Did they do a fresh sample or do you have to have a GTT?

I'm refusing routine GTT this time round but have told the midwife if I thought I was at risk of diabetes I would have one... I imagine they will suddenly discover all the symptoms in me at the appropriate time... But then I lived with a diabetic for years so I think I'd know...

Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

hassle - I think I am too, I think boss just didn't know to be honest! I was a bit naughty though as hadn't told him i was leaving early for the appointment, normally I would I was just a bit of a zombie on my first day back! I said to him I think the policy says I can have time off, i think he is just keeping an eye on people's timesheets (good idea as some people make them up!). I'll have a chat with him when making a cup of tea or something tomorrow!

I must be one of the odd ones out. Both the hospital and Mid-wife havent discovered anything with me. In fact at my last scan - 20 odd week one, was told, 'Everythings spot on' and 'have a nice labour'.
My midwife likes to describe me as perfectly boring. Everything has been spot on average.
Have had 2 scans, 2 blood tests, and 5 midwife appointments.
If anything I feel a bit neglected lol

Read through but am useless so sorry if I missed anything big...

PP - loving the very tidy schedule of birth dates in your family - hope this one sticks to your routine and pops their head on monday!
1more - congratulations! - love the name darcey, so pretty
Bunny - sorry to hear about your poor dog, its so horrible when they go
Smartie - feeling your frustration with hospitals - how is it that they are soooooo incompetent?!
Sun and bleach for grubby whites
and... Kai Stuart gets my vote.

Still here at 40+3; had sweep this morning which wasn't too bad but hasn't done anything yet. Midwife said cervix was soft and she got 2 fingers in for a decent sweep - I'm not sure how good that is though? Had a bit of blood since but nothing else - praying it sends me into labour soon. Anyone know if you should stay active after the sweep or get some rest - I suddenly feel like I could turn in for the night now! Think its something to do with the hefty workout I had this morning trying to shave my legs/foof in an attempt to retain some dignity before the MW!

Blood yesterday morning has not turned out to be a good thing - as I haven't gone into labour and am rhesus neg, they have decided I better have the anti-D injection again just to be on the safe side... cue a trip to the hospital tomorrow..

Lolo and lozchops - how are you getting on? Loz - I'm also out with dates - by my reckoning, I don't think I'm due til the 16th but the MW assured me its not my dates that count lol! Better ur way round as at least you get more time before the dreaded induction...

    hope all are well x
