Pah Smartie..sorry you're having such a cruddy time.
I would have blown a gasket too had that happened to me.
So will you actually be getting another scan??Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
AAAAAANNNnnnnnnnnnnnnndddddd Smartie realises why I don't go to hospital appointments.. mine are ALWAYS like that and my main bone of contention is that NOBODY ever reads the notes that are in their hand.. !!!!!! are they for if not to read and keep each other informed??? If you don't want to go to weekly appts at the hospital (that keep you standing there for hours and don't read your notes) have them with your mw who you said was adequate.. and at least knows you and your circumstances without reading the notes
Baby is very very quiet today and was yesterday too.. I've had a traumatic week and it might just all be coincidental but I am not happy with a quiet baby it is usually trying to play bongos on my tonsils with its feet!! So it is very out of character to be quiet. It is still moving 'enough' but nowhere near what we normally do.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hello all,
I had my MW home visit yesterday morning; it went well. I am still measuring one week over but my dates are remaining the same. She also confirmed my suspisions that the baby's head has engaged, she said I could have the baby at any point from now!!!
Went in the afternoon to meet my consultant who again wasn't there. Also had a growth scan and baby is measuring slighty big; weighing at 6lbs 8 and I am 36 weeks. I didn't think this was too big, going by the 'text book' this is just over 1lb over weight! I did think he/ she was going to be a fattie though so it all makes sense!! :rotfl:
I have also been given permission to have the baby at my local birth centre unless there are any complications, which is 15 minutes away rather than an hour drive! :T there is also a much quicker discharge and 3 BIRTH POOLS if I wana use oneso I am pleased about that! OH is relieved too as he was dreading driving me for an hour to only be turned away as I might not be dilated enough. Wahoo!!!

I sound like a stalker but I come on every day and you posted every day so it is weird not having you post!!! The parent thread - I took a sneak peek - it does seem to be grown up, far too grown up for me!!!
What sort of routine are you doing with Landen? I have 2 friends who have just had babies, one is doing Gina Ford and the other the Baby Whisperer. I like the idea of a routine, and have both books so think I will just use them as templates and make my own. Landen sounds a perfect little boy! Letting you get round Primark - 5* to Landen!!!
Ohhh my very own stalker :T
Yeah I just dont feel like I belong on the parents thread, and Ive come to know all you guys and I miss the banter...but saying that Ive posted q's on the parent thread and everyone has always been very helpful and nice... its just me I think....
Landen's routine isnt really out of a book exactly. I have to write everything down since I have no memory since his birth, literally of his birth or anything thereafter. I write down when he feeds, how much he takes, when he naps and for how long and theres a vague pattern. It just helps me plan for things like having a bottle ready, getting bottles washed and sterilised, and now Im just trying to develop a bed time routine with him, so half 6 i sort out a bath or top/tail for him, then we have some naked time on his towel, then he feeds around 7, and then he gets put to bed as thats when he was taking his longest sleep of the day.....:A so thats when the lights are kept low to try and build his awareness between night and day.....
He did very well in Primark, was there early and it was raining out so hardly anyone in there, and he pulled a gaggle of staff by the tills.... such a little heart breaker....:TWealth is not measured by currency0 -

MV - hope you enjoy your holiday! I've only had wine a couple of times but mainly as I've been so tired and like Make-it-3 have lost the taste for it!
Done a bit of work and had a piece of fruitbread and butter. I need to do an online shop really, bit annoyed as only £5.50 delivery slots left but its worth it as the man will bring it upstairs and I hate supermarket shopping, DH hates it even more and getting the car is a faff!
been trying to call the doctors to get my blood results but they don't have them..she is going to see if ante natal can get them to her.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

I don't know if I'll get a scan!!! They were way too busy to give me one today anyway *quoting a midwife*
I've left a message with my midwife Pigpen (although I forgot to press the # key like the answering machine told me so I don't know if it worked:o:rotfl:) as she's said herself plenty of times that the hospital is crap. I think she would rather do all my appoinyments too but was quite worried. She had actually phoned hospital for advice but it was them who said to go in.
What was said today could of been said over the phone without me having to go in:mad: I'm happy enough to go in next week for the monitoring for bubs sake... BUT the appointment could of been made over the phone!BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
oh smartie poor you, have been wondering how you'd got on. So frustrating. Hopefully you might get a scan at one of those other appointments?Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

Is this North Devon Hospital you're having problems with? Luckily I've never had a problem with them but I know what you mean about the notes! Also they really need to sort out the scanning waiting room areas. Wait in one area for 15 mins, then get told to come for your scan to then wait 10 mins again to actually be seen! Just wait til you get to the L&D ward
Although I can't really remember my experience as it was so quick
