  • I got a pillow from Woolies that does this, but also you use it as a body pillow to get comfy at night, and then you can use it for nursing as well. Obviously I haven't got to the nursing bit yet but it's comfy for sleeping with (but takes up an awful lot of the bed!)

hm I bet the woollies one was a lot cheaper! These are going on ebay for £42.99 and even more elsewhere. Just don't know if it would actually sell if we listed it.

And then part of me thinks it might be worth hanging on to as it does actually look quite useful...

Only downside is we've been sent one with a pink cover and we don't know what flavour bubs is...

Mine was about £30 with 5% cashboack from topcashback - which I still thought was quite expensive.

    morning all.

Woke up at 5 for the loo...after being awake at 12.30 for the loo also, and now can't get back to sleep! Bubs was wriggling and I was hungry. It's typical when I'm working from home today and so could lie in a bit. So i've had some cereal and caught up on here and then I'm going to try going back to sleep.

Can't remember half of what I read but congrats to 1more!

I haven't got one of those pillows but I do have a bigger triangular pillow which I already had (great for reading in bed!) and it has been great already in preg - one bit between my knees, the other in front of bump at night, and should be good for breastfeeding too apparently. My gym ball is also a normal one, just got it from the local independent sports shop, think it was maybe £12 or £15.

I realised yesterday I hadn't got my HIPG form when I saw midwife last week, I must remember to ask for it next Friday when I go! I am slso itching for my £30 nappy voucher to arrive so I can get a bucket and some other bits.

right, i am going to attempt to sleep again, if not I will just start some work and have a nap later I guess!

I don't have a pillow or a ball and I haven't had with any of the children.. and they still came out...

When I had Tiddles there was a ball in the labour room.. my mother sat on it and immediately fell off.. it was most amusing!

Today I hate children and am never having any!

Lolo and Kym Any news on the baby front? I have read the thread back, but have total pregnancy brain today so if I have missed anything sorry.

I am bored of waiting. I phoned midwifes office yesterday as last week went for a CTG and scan due to lack of movement. My next appt with my midwife was on 24th July at home for a sweep (this is term plus 7 days according to their dates). We don't agree with the NHS dating scan as we paid for a private nuchal scan and the EDD was 12th with theirs (have to say it was a *lot* more thorough than the 5 mins I had with the NHS one) *and* I also know when I ovulated and when we conceived which tallys to the 12th EDD. Anywhoo, I digress! When I went to ANDU the midwife said that baby was a v good size after the scan and thought that my date was probably right but they won't change EDD and to get in touch with my midwife as 24th was too long to not be seen. Finally got hold of a midwife yesterday (mine is in training for a week) and she advised that term plus 7 is the procedure here to be next seen after a 38 week appt unless there are any problems. When I told her about the reduced movement and scan she said I need to be seen each week then, so now have been fitted in at the end of antenatal clinic next week. Really hope midwife will give me a sweep, although looks like their procedure is not to do anything until term plus 7, but for me that would make me term plus 12 which is when they induce here. ANDU did say I could request a consultant appt and self refer to them at anytime if I was concerned. I just don't want to go too much over with my dates been 5 days out - I could ask for monitoring, what do you all think?

Sorry for long post - as you can probably tell, am getting quite bored now. Just hope baby arrives before all of this!!!! TIA.

just in case anyone forwards plans like i do (unlikely coz im a freak! LOL) our local £land had 20 socket covers in their baby section......

i know Landen cant even hold his own head up yet let alone stick his tongue in a plug socket but no doubt when he is capable of electrocuting himself I wont be able to find any!!!!

  • I'm trying to make the next 10 weeks go faster by writing lists. I'm just on my "things left to buy" list and have got to monitors/thermometer and wondered if anyone had any suggestions. Money is tight(ish) but I want a really good one, baby will be on a different floor to us after the first few months when it goes in its own room so I need one with a good range.
Thermometer wise, do I need a pricey fancy gro egg-type one or can I just get any old cheapo room thermometer?
