I don't go on buses so I'll be ok.. I am terrified of it being the middle of sports day or the school hall too... how mortifying would that be?

Lol yeah I can imagine that would be pretty embarrassing!

I have told this baby she is not allowed to have me in hospital between 2.30pm and 7pm on the 2nd - 9th September because there is no one to have my monsters at that time! Most of my family work in an FE college and September is their busiest work time lol and OH is working away from the 1st -9th.

  • My waters broke at work ( a high street financial institution) last time round ! I would say the shock takes over the embarassment .

Mine have gone while I've been all snuggly in bed most often.. though halfway through making a cuppa wasn't best planned.. as I got out of bed.. on my cream bedroom carpet.. and all over the bathroom floor with DD3.. thankfully we had no lino or anything down so most went straight through the boards lol.. joys of a downstairs loo!

My all time horror must be for it to happen in a shop for example.. I knew someone whose waters went in the middle of woolworths on a Saturday afternoon!!! I'd have died!!!

Do waters clean up ok? I have cream carpets throughout my house and I couldnt imagine anything worse!! I would hate them to go in my work, I work with all men and I know they would take the pi$$! Plus theres 4 flights of stairs, and you have to walk through 2 busy shops, dont think I could take the shame!!!

I am prepared for mine to go in bed, got a waterproof mattress cover on already!! I somehow bet they wont go there though!!!

Congrats to the naughty queue jumper;):D

Thanks for the hugs and stuff. We won't be having a scan. The next nearest scan place is about 1hr 15 mins away so quite a bit of travelling for just a gender scan (we don't want 4d or fancy scan). Oh I just wish there was a magical way of finding out!!:rotfl:

I've booked a hair appointment for next week to cheer me up. Off to the docs later... but this time for DS! Thinking of getting the Tens machine from Lloyds Pharmacy which is the next the docs... any views/experience on that specific tens???

I ordered some maternity trousers with that Next £10 off thingy (paid it off so no account with them;)) Sooo happy to find something that fits:) Got a smaller size than normal as I'm finding maternity bottoms in my usual size way too big.

With DS my waters broke whilst I was shoved out the way in a dark horrible room in hospital. I buzzed the midwife who didn't believe me! I may of been young but the huge pop and gush of water across the room kinda gave it away;)

    Yes they do!

Mine went as I got out of bed to go to the loo. DH woke up to me flinging towels all over the brand new cream carpet saying"What on earth are you doing?" :rotfl:

Ticklepenny I'm sure you'll be fine:) plenty of time to discuss it with your consultant/midwife who I hope will be very reassuring:)
Also this lot could probs put your mind at ease...maybe:p:D

For me I'm not fussed about the birth process(yet!) baby has to come out whether I like it or not and no matter how it comes out its gonna hurt so I'll worry about it at the time and concentrate on looking at ways to make it as easy as possible on myself:p:)

Sammy I've just noticed, if you go into labour next then you're going to ruin our pretty run of boy/girl/boy, so for my OCDness of having needing everything to look pretty & in order can your little girl hold on until we get a boy?!?!:D:D Thanks:p:rotfl:
