sammy massive labour vibes for today in that case x
Hope the housework gets something jiggling or that the midwife does a sweep tomorrow and that does something.0 -
Sorry been away for my computer for 3 days and theres far too much to catchup on.
I went to a house sale last weekend in my village and bought a Phill & Ted's pushchair, with double attachment and over £200 of accessories for £50:D:D:D:D
Ive washed it once and will be washing it again tomorrow, its come up really well. Just needs new innertubes.
Thats my bargain hunting over for a while I think.
Gratz on those that have had their babies.
Hope those overdue ladys get their mummy cuddles asap.:heart2:Married 03/09/2005

ok so I was going to get a petite star zia but on netmums someone locally is selling a urban detour 3 wheeler which I know I like for only £25! Is there something in particular I should look out for when I go have a look at it? Would be an absolute bargain if its ok. Now we have the zafira we don't neccessarily need a pushchair that folds really small so I'm not too worried about the size of the urban detour now.0

Massive Congrats Bexta on your little girl!! Good to hear your water birth was a success, I am aiming for one of these but apparently the hosp I am going to only has one pool, and the labour ward is massive so I cant see me getting it!
Am starting to consider asking if I can give birth at my local hospital, its 10 minutes drive from my house, more likelyhood of having a water birth and 6 hour discharge so I could get out of there pretty quick! Does anyone know if I have any choice being as I am being referred to a bigger further away hospital as I am 'high risk'? I have few health probs, and also react badly to certain painkillers/ anaesetics?
Smartie: Sorry to hear your feeling carp *hugs* are you going to have a 3D scan?
Pigpen: I hope you dont leave this forum too soon- we need you!!!0 -
Kitkat have you asked if they allow you to take your own birth pool, I know going back to when i had DS1 it was the only way to get a water birth as hospitals just didnt have pools back then they may still allow it.
As for the other hospital you can choose where to go but it would depend on what exactly you are classed as high risk for if the hospital you want to go to does not have the facilities to cope with your conditions i think they can refuse to admit you. I would have a long and frank talk to your midwife and find out exactly what they think could go wrong and if the closer hospital can cope, if it can then you can insist you go there. They cant force you to go where you dont want to if its just for their convinience.:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
