I have heard some horror stories about the place I have to go to, and then a lot of good stories too and my sister had two c sections there but I will see how I fair there first.
Like you said tis fro the babies safety as your main priority despite it being a PITA - trust me you should see the road sI have to travel down to get to my hospital :eek::eek::eek: Im sure boyfriend is more concerned I'll deliver in his Golf - I swear he'd marry that car if he could! - but at the end of the day I know if he had to choose between convenience or our safety then I'll be at the hospital in record time. In fact if the same discussion arises as last night I may use that as my reply................. :T0 -
My OH wont even let me travel in his little sporty car at the moment incase it starts anything off!!! He's got this fear of my waters breaking in it, what about if it happens in my car though?!
so its not only my boyfriend who feels this compulsive urge to protect his car!!
although my mother in law just had a new cream carpet fitted in her living room and new lino in the kitchen so im surprised she has got me sat on towels every time i visit!Time to find me again0 -

LOL She'd probably really like to ask you to do that but doesn't know how to without starting a war :rotfl::rotfl:
Well I went to Tesco this morning on the bus to get some fruit and salad bits, they had loads of fruit on offer so I ended up spending a fortune and having really heavy bags to get home
I did however get 15 pairs of kid's socks (really pretty ones with butterflies, thick and warm for the coming winter) for £6 :T they were reduced from 5 pairs for £5 in a pack to £2
I must have been awake almost all night last night! I don't know what got into me. We have a memory foam mattress which is usually heaven but where I'm thrashing about so much it feels rock hard all night atm
Did Bexta post back with her little madam's name yet?Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

You may have me another weeks or 2 at the most.. it isn't like I am ever far away though is it?!
OH NO. LOL! you will have to stay stalking us!!
The full bladder is only necessary before 12 weeks when the uterus is in the pelvis.. after that you don't need a full bladder.
Thanks. What a relief!!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Thanks PP you are a star :AIf you can think it........it will happen0 -
tinks mine says no need for a full bladder on the letter again but not sure if that is because they are gonna try to do an internal one as well. I think the equipment is better than when I had my other 2 little uns, so no need for the full bladders, which is good with the amount of time they are always running behind. My hospital also don't do the scans until 22-23 weeks grrr for the wait.sammy_kaye18 wrote: »when I had my 20 week scan I went with a full bladder and they asked me to partially empty it :eek::eek: easier said than done when you are due to burst and have had a child previously so your pelvic floor isn't what it use to be - was near on impossible but I managed some how - I would drink a little before hand but not loads - failing that you could always ring the unit just to make sure. x I know for an internal you don't need a full bladder.sir_monster wrote: »Tinks, again I think I had an empty bladder - don't think it matters these days, but I'm sure if they are having probs they would ask you to drink some liquids! If not sure ring the antenatal section?
Merfe mine was 22 weeks too, so frustrating the extra 2 weeks when other people behind you find out the flavour and you have to wait.
Thanks LadiesFab advice as ever
I say that I should move my desk to the Ladies at work as I live in there at the moment
I will be 22 weeks when I have mine. That is why we had the private scan on Saturday. After everything I wanted to know that she was ok.
It is just the hard bit now of talking to people and not saying SHE!!! DH doesn't want to tell people the sex. So it is nice to be able to share my pinkness with you FAB ladies :AIf you can think it........it will happen0 -

Mine have gone while I've been all snuggly in bed most often.. though halfway through making a cuppa wasn't best planned.. as I got out of bed.. on my cream bedroom carpet.. and all over the bathroom floor with DD3.. thankfully we had no lino or anything down so most went straight through the boards lol.. joys of a downstairs loo!
My all time horror must be for it to happen in a shop for example.. I knew someone whose waters went in the middle of woolworths on a Saturday afternoon!!! I'd have died!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I think I'd have died too Pigpen! What's the betting it'll happen to me on a bus... then I'll be back doing the school runs after OH's paternity leave to be greeted by 'Alright love, not gonna make a mess today?':eek::eek::o:o:oMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

I don't go on buses so I'll be ok.. I am terrified of it being the middle of sports day or the school hall too... how mortifying would that be?LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
