We didn't want to know if it was a girl or boy, so didn't ask. the midwife didn't ask if we wanted to know, so happy enough.

I don't just mean internal scans, I mean when do they start looking around/poking around downstairs? I'm hoping never until D-Day!

Merfe.. I wouldn't have picked her up.. it could just as easily be insect bites or a heat rash!!

she had a heat rash yesterday but that has gone. I saw a spot this morning and it wasn't like a mosquito bite it could be other insects because she was playing in long grass yesterday, that's why I want the doctor to confirm it. Her teacher is also pregnant so I think she was already removed from the class and they are being extra careful. Probably better to get her earlier and try and sort out doctors. Hopefully its not. She did also complain about not feeling well this morning but I said oh its just the heat etc. There is loads of chicken pox going round here at the mo though so it would just be typical they get it now.

CL great news about the scan, the internal thing seems to be my hospital only, will have to see if they mention it when I go for the scan. Leaflet says there are 2 components to the scan a abdomen scan to examine the baby and placenta and a scan through the vagina to examine the cervix and blood flow to the placenta and then goes on to list the reasons for the scans.

Hassle you're job sounds like mine, hence me staying til I drop, my boss has already offered to take me & my car home if I go early while at work:D and failing that the office is 10mins away from hospital so I could always go straight there and have DH follow me up:D

CL I'm hoping for no internals until I've gone over my due date and assuming there's no complications.....I might ask that at my next midwife app actually:) Been trying to think of things to ask:)

looks like its just our hospital then lol, I think I'll refuse. I'm normally in favour of supporting research but I've honestly had enough internal scans and would like to have this pregnancy without any but also I don't think I'm likely to be high risk either.

I have never had any other internal examinations in my pregnancies ever. Although I had mine at 37 and 38 weeks by c-section so would only expect anything like that when labour is immenient.

Fuzz, Yeh sounds like yours. My boss lives down the road from me and has offered to bring me in, if I find driving too difficult. I am awaiting HR to decide if I have to leave on EDD, or whether I can still come in after that. Unless I am ill / shattered I want to still go to work, especially as the lads here, will spoil me.
OH works here too, and to get to hospital would have to drive past my house, so either way, he will be able to take me!

Had a bit of a scare in town when I almost went flying, stupid tiredness I think plus some not very even pavement.

Picked up my parcels - my maclaren comfort pack which was for some reason direct from maclaren though i ordered from mothercare, think that will be going back as it's a bit pointless I think! And a pack of 10 new muslins from a friend who didn't use them :)

sir M - glad you're ok, yes def coffee when we're on leave! At least EDDs are saturdays so DHs will be around!

smartie, glad you're ok though sounds like a bit of a scare last night.

right, i should do some more work!
