ok so I've done a bit of work....time for a bit of play!

another question ladies...my friend last night was saying not to give up work too early as I'll be bored etc, apparently her sister in law finished a month before EDD and is v fed up. I was planning to finish fri 5 september, EDD is 2nd oct, so 4 full weeks (2 weeks hol, 2 weeks mat leave). My only worry is if bubs is late then I could ahve up to 6 weeks off and have 'wasted' 4 weeks mat leave before it even arrives. But with my commute I just don't know. When have people finished and how have they found it?

Congrats Fernlie!! Glad all went well for you!!

MERFE: When I had my 12 week scan they had problems measuring the baby and they asked me about having an internal scan then, I think they put a camera inside you? ewwww!! I asked if they could keep trying as I didnt fancy an internal scan tbh! Luckily, I didnt have to have one, as far as I know its only needed if the external scan doesnt pick everything up?!

Cant believe I missed Smarties bump pic :( but I will predict anyway... I think boy?! :rotfl: I also think Pigpen is having a girl!

Had my antenatal class at home last night, was really good. The lady was really relaxed and not at all forceful. She talked the pros and cons of pain relief, nappies, etc and certainly gave me a few things to think about. She showed me birthing positions and its made me think I defo do not want to be lay on my back on a bed! Only prob is now, the only pain relief I want is gas and air, I cant see that happening I will probably demand it all!! I defo feel a lot more at ease about labour.. BRING IT ON!!

She also mentioned about washable nappies that can jus be bunged in the machine... anyone know what type these are? Are they any good?? I just dont fancy soaking them!!!

    All of them!!!!

Don't soak them.. stuff them in a bucket and at the end of the day or every 2 days bung in washer!

I haven't soaked them since I caught DD3 drinking the water from the nappy bucket!

This is my fear too, don't wanna waste ML as only having 6months:(So I'm working as late as they'll let me:) My plan is to start official ML on the 1st Nov(due 31st) just waiting to see if my manager will allow it, the director in the office is fine about it so fingers crossed:D but I have 6 days annual leave to take so will be off from 22nd Oct(using AL) and ML will start on 1st Nov..hopefully;):)
However saying all this, I do only walk from my front door to the car and into the office then sit on my butt all day so a very easy job:D If I had to get the public transport I'd probably finish a week or so earlier:)

lol I won't be soaking nappies either...all the advice suggests not to these days! Found out last night that my friend has used them all the way with her kids, and loves them (tots bots also), and that she might be able to pass on some size 2s when her youngest is out of them :D

I have done most of my to do list (loads of work i could do in the office but less here or less that i want to do) I'm so tired I can't concentrate so I might nip out to the sorting office before it gets too busy at lunchtime.
