    Morning everyone x

Well dd woke me at 5:15 with a I'm starving, she got a well you can wait for a bit and then as I rolled over to go back to sleep the most painful cramp I have ever had. It lasted for ages and my leg still hurts now. Another symptom I only got with DD but you never know.

At least little one is on his preschool trip today so I have the whole day to myself woohoo, just need to pick them both up from different schools at 3pm, should be fun.

    Morning All

Well have been up tossing and turning all night. Couldn't get to sleep - trying not to freak out about the hospital I have to now go to though - my theory is if its better for babe to be there then that's what matters and I have been given a down to the last mole description of the midwife who I know to have butchered 3 of my friends so I will be refusing her if she even steps in the room!

Been taking my iron tablets - back up to 3 a day - - this could be fun at 38+6!!! Only 8 days left until my due date. Why do the doctors perscribe you with 200mg tablets when your daily allowance is meant to be 27 - 30mg when your pregnant? Did sit last night and make stovies - (mince and onion in gravy, then you bung in potatoes to cook in gravy for half hour - I threw in half a bag of peas  and carrots for good measure too!) first decent meal I think I have eaten all pregnancy due to no appetite what so ever - you wouldn't think it with the size of me though. Ended up enjoying it so much I had two portions and had to make OH something different when he got in!

Slightly worried about appointment with consultant tomorrow now though - midwife was um-ing and ah-ing about another scan yesterday but I have no idea why but do remember her saying to check the waters as there may be a lot. SO possibly will be having another scan tomorrow I think - no idea what the consultant is going to say/do though......................:(

Silly cow - got up and without thinking made a cup of tea too - so going to drink it, leave it an hour, have a few strawberries and take my iron tablet, and when I get back off the school run about 9ish I'll have a bowl of iron fortified porridge.

    morning all

hugs to those who didn't sleep well. After an almighty massive kick from bubs last night it was v quiet in the end, usually I get up for the loo at about 3/4 and then there's a lot of kicking. I did get up at 5 and there was a bit of movement but not much. Perhaps it's changed position.

Boiling here today, have found my lightest clothes! At least once I'm there we have air con in the office, plus am going in a bit early when although trains busier it should be a bit cooler. I couldn't care less about the football really so will probably stay and make the most of a quiet office!

  • Hi everyone

Long time no speak, life has been crazy the last couple of months!
Congratulations to CAFCgirl and anyone else, sorry but I haven't gone back and caught up on everything!
Hope you're all keeping well and not too uncomfy in the heat (ha)

Well I am 34+4 now and can't believe how close I am, I finish work on Friday and cannot WAIT, I am so ready to go!

Life has been really hectic as we've been decorating/sorting lots of house stuff out, and my parents split up about 6 weeks ago which as you can imagine wasn't the nicest thing to happen, let alone in the middle of the pregnancy, so that's been a bit stressful but i was just glad i didn't go into premature labour or anything :)

Anyway hopefully i'll manage to keep up a bit better from now on and doubtless when i'm on mat leave i'll be posting all day and annoying everyone!

    have a good day xx

Pigpen, here's another reason for you not to go to Hull
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/10377839.stm

Not all all impresssed though, as my local PCT is also one of the ones they're sending letters to. Not impressed with them at the moment, cos the hospital is already on restricted visiting due to 'infection control'. It actually makes me kind of glad about the 6 hour turnaround - figure the less time I'm in the place, the less likelikhood there is of catching anything.

Sammy, glad you're starting to get you're appetite back. I do that with my iron tablets, cos I have cereal and milk for brekkie, so leave it a bit and then have some fruit or juice and take it then.

I think the fact the sister of one of the mums from school dying after contracting MRSA during a C-Section is enough, TBH.. and them saying they wanted Tiddles to die.. and the fact everyone is incapable of reading notes so have no idea what is happening.. and the fact the staff treat everyone like they are a piece of $h!t.. and the general attitude is disgusting is plenty enough reason.

Smartie, why no to crumble and custard? I'm soooo hungry I'll eat your share if you don't want it. Feels like I need a nose bag or something, cos I've never been shy about my food, but I've just been ravenous lately.

My crumble and custard came back up in style:eek: Me and DH had half each and it was a little too much:o I felt so yuk afterwards!! I'll stick to the ice lollies in this weather;)

Thanks for the codes smartie and sir monster :)I knew someone would come good, despite dh moaning at me for not just biting the bullet and ordering (he doesn't really get mse esp when my mum paying!)
I used the 10% off one as it gave me £19 off. The footmuff is out of stock but in stock at kiddicare for £45 and so may order from there think I can get £5 off if i sign up to their emails... I also got a moses basket mattress and a comfort pack (which may be a waste of space but I'll see and can always return it!). I'm confused as to whether the xt comes with a headhugger or not as some pics it has one but others not and the one I saw instore didn't have.

The XT does come with a headhugger and some things for the straps. I also got the footmuff.. but from a catalogue when they offered me £25 off £50 spend:D

I've turned to paracetomal to help with the back pain I've been in. Helps a little bit. Am really breathless as well which midwife said I would be as giant tall devil child has his feet pushing right up towards my boobs!! He actually kicks my boobs... little bugger!:rotfl:

Holland and Barrett have buy one get one half price at the mo if anyone need to get RLT etc:)

I will def be doing the RLT thing but still unsure about the calcium and other stuff?? I know this subject is brought up every now and then on here but I really don't know what I'll take/not take.

I have the list of stuff and when to take it saved on file so I'm not asking what to take... but I want to know if you ARE or ARE GOING TO take calcium etc or NOT?

Sorry. Just ignore me if you wish/get bored of same old discussion:o I just hate making decisions!!:rotfl:

And leaking boobs are just sooooo fun:cool::rotfl:

Smartie: I started drinking rlt last week and have also been taking calcium. Pre-pregnancy my levels are always very low, and I am willing to try anything to make labour more bearable! I will also be taking EPO and Arnica when the time comes, I am sure everytime the baby moves I will rattle from all these pills :rotfl: but I am willing to give it ago, plus with recent offers from holland & barratt buying the lot didn't cost much at all. Its upto you whether you take it or not.

Just been to see MW, think taking OH helps as she seems much more talkative and friendly than previously! The baby is measuring a week or so bigger than me and if he/she still does by my next appt I might need a further dating scan. My next appt the MW is coming to my house to go through my birth plan  she gave me a free re-useable nappy (part of the council scheme) and I was actually impressed by how smart they look, it did seem abit bulky but the liners could easily be made and just the covers bought. Think we will use disposables for the first few weeks and decide what to do, I just dont fancy all the washing/ soaking :p

i am off to see mw in a little while as i havent felt baby move for days now. it may just be the way is lying and i am sure as soon as i get to the mw it will start kicking away but i am starting to worry. mw was actually a lot nicer than expected when i phoned and asked to see her. was expecting her to think paranoid mother but she put my mind at rest and said to come in. will be back on later to update - probably be moaning by then that baby wont stop kicking!

stay put or labour vibes for all of those who need them

congrats cafc he is just beautiful! hope you are both doing well!:j

scary stuff about that hospital, totally understand why your not going there pigpen!! think im going to google my hospital now and see what i can dig up on them!

i really really want to have a 4d scan, i have no idea why, i didnt think id be into anything like that, but i just can get the idea out of my head. so phoned up today and they are £240  so dont think it will be happening. considering i havent bought one baby item yet, spending £240 on a unnecessary scan would be madness wouldnt it. :rotfl:

had a really weird dream that i bought too many small nappies and the baby got too big for them but we had boxes and boxes left over. i was pretty annoyed woke up in a bit of a fluster lol. weird!
