Good news emsy.
PP I can now see why you have as little as poss to do with mw and docs. Doc I spoke to on the phone basically said as you if there are no symptoms why worry, but at least wanted to double check as mw and doc didn't write down prop what was wrong.
Had carp journey home too, major probs with trains so had to get a hot tube and tram - took an extra 45 mins. Is days like today I could do with a large glass of wine!!Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

Your m/w should go through this with you - they do a leaflet about it. About 30% of people have this and it's not a big deal. It just means there's a teeny risk to baby when your waters break. Apparently, it's not very common for baby to get it, but when it does it can be serious. I think the stats are about 1/2000 die, so it's a rarity.
I tested positive for it as well, and my m/w just said they'll put me on IV anti biotics when my waters go, and this will hopefully go through the placenta and protect bellymonkey to stop it picking the bacteria up. It really isn't anything to panic about, it's just precautionary.
Oh Thank you my MW is on holiday so I have been stressingIf you can think it........it will happen0 -
Evening
The house is sparkly clean hehe, I have been like a possessed, crazy person!
Random pains all day on and off, but they seem to have stopped now. I have never had such a strange feeling in the top of my legs, but it was very strange I could barely walk back from school this afternoon, and a few times since I have felt like my leg were going to collapse!! My mum phoned a short while ago and I mentioned it to her....apparantly she had this before and during labour with my little sis, so seems my body is getting itself prepared:)
Absolutely Overjoyed today, my little sis(21) phoned and told me she is getting married next August in Gretna Green AND she wants me to be a bridesmaid:) I can't wait, Must just make sure I am not pregnant next August now;) No but seriously, it is another incentive to lose weight after having this baby:D

Very good news about the positive scans. Here's to a totally uneventful next few months for you after the initial troubles you've had!
Smartie, why no to crumble and custard? I'm soooo hungry I'll eat your share if you don't want it. Feels like I need a nose bag or something, cos I've never been shy about my food, but I've just been ravenous lately.
Emsy, that's nice and quick for you - I hope it goes well.

Congratulations CAFC, although he looks like he was comfy where he was, lol, adorable
I've been limping today, not so much with pain, but like when you sleep funny on your arm and it feels odd and doesn't feel like you can put a lot of weight on it. That's what my left leg has felt like, with a bit of pain in my hip, it was more of an odd feeling though.
Glad everyones scans went well. Hope everyone is ok.0 -
I've forgotten nearly everything I've just read - sorry
!
I've been for my 28 wk midwife appt today - although only 27+4. All good, measuring 28 weeks and got my HIPG form :j.
I have my GTT test next Tuesday.
Rach - I've ordered a few things from Mothercare and the items have turned up quickly. They also send you the tracking info so you can track parcel.
Tinks (was is you?) - I tested positive for groub b strep with dd, however they didn't swab me until my waters broke so didn't get result until dd was 10 days old. I've been told they'll swab me this time at 34 weeks and if positive I'll need antibiotics in labour.0 -
Thanks for the codes smartie and sir monster
I knew someone would come good, despite dh moaning at me for not just biting the bullet and ordering (he doesn't really get mse esp when my mum paying!)
I used the 10% off one as it gave me £19 off. The footmuff is out of stock but in stock at kiddicare for £45 and so may order from there think I can get £5 off if i sign up to their emails... I also got a moses basket mattress and a comfort pack (which may be a waste of space but I'll see and can always return it!). I'm confused as to whether the xt comes with a headhugger or not as some pics it has one but others not and the one I saw instore didn't have.
Had loads to say earlier but went off to make dinner and forgot it all
sir monster hope the infection clears up, I think I may have one also! Sorry about yr journey, I came home from waterloo east today after a meeting (with the Mayor's transport adviser no less) and noticed loads of delayed trains at london bridge. My train was like an oven but at least it was running!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
