Emsy.. you are quite probably better off.. though it won't seem like it right now. I thought you had a cousin or someone you were having as birthing partner? You don't need him and given his behaviour the children certainly don't... give him a few days to stew and he will probably change his mind anyway he is just faffing you about some more!
Are any of us close enough we could offer you some support or a hug or a break? I won't be.. noone ever lives near me!
Thanks Piggers, i know I will be ok, feel nothing like as bad as when he actually left (when I was about 6/7 weeks)
Classic example-last month, (May 28th) he got paid approx £1200 take home, plus £400 bonus. He had left me the month before, knowing I had no benefits coming through at that point.
His total payment to his mother for living there was £100. for the month. All in. Approx £180 car insurance, £100 petrol. He bought a new playstation 3 (!!!!!!) and games etc, and frittered the rest away. he offered me nothing, nor bought anything for the bump.
As of yesterday, he was skint. £1600 in 3 weeks, only £380 spent on anything required (he has no debts)0 -

Thank you, I only actually posted to try and help you, and see that you might have to do today alone, but if I can do all of this alone, then you will be ok0 -
Emsy he's being a complete tosspot!:p And it might be best to start laying down the ground rules now so you know where you are and he can't change his mind all the time...its not fair on you!!
When you next see mw mention it to them and they may be able to help by making sure you have close contact with a few of the team so when you do go into labour there'll at least be a familiar face:) If I was closer and not due around the same time I'd offer:o:p:D
btw those worrying about the HiPG apparently it is being axed but not until April 2011 so we should all be ok:) That little nugget of info is courtesy of the parent thread..not actually googled for budget results yet! Oh and CTC is frozen for next 3 yrs too:D1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:

Baby KK number 2 will have leftovers from number 1 so will be cheaper anyway and you won't need the grants;):)1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:

Emsy - where do you live?? because if your south Wales area I'll happily come and hold your hand through it flower. x
Watching the budget at the minute - mother in law has just freaked out as it means she's losing child tax credit for her grandson who she is carer for and he has to have a medical assesment every time she reclaims disability or carers allowance for him - he has aspergers/adhd and autism
she will be 'on the bones of her !!!!!' she thinks though because of child benefit being frozen - but have explained that that means it will stay at the same rate not get cancelled completely so she is somewhat relieved now although I am sat here praying that breastfeeding will take with bub with the VAT rising from 17.5% up to 20%!!!!!!
apparently we will all be council tax free as of april 2011 for a whole year so there's a bit of good news fro us all!
apparently low cost families will be £75 worse off a year although ive no idea how they calculated that because im sure it said £205 a minute ago.
They arent increasing tobacco or alcohol though.Making Changes To Save My LifeCurrent weightloss - 2lbs (week 1)0 -
Oh I could marry you lot
Just phoned the head of the Hardship Fund for Doula UK, gave her a brief outline, and I qualify for complete funding for a birth and post natal doula :T:T:T:T:T
All being sorted today with forms etc, I can start choosing my doula, so will be fully supported during and after the birth. Cannot believe it!
Also discussed water birth ( my preferred choice, MW said yes, consultant said no as previous c/sec) and she gave me name of lead MW for area who is responsible for water births in the Kent area, said it was no problem, talk to her and she will get it sorted, and the doula can organise it all as well
OMG the relief!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0
