Fernlie, that's so cute your little one calling the ball Alan. Kids come up with some incredibly random things don't they?
I really shouldn't have looked at the list - after the bold ladies, I'm at number 7.

I didn't consider about it breaking waters, maybe I should have rammed it further up;):rotfl:
Soon, Gawd packing for 7 isn't 'alf stressful! Why cant males pack their own stuff!
I also have the cleaning bug as my sister is popping in to water my plants when Im away and the house MUST be tidy. OH thinks I'm mad.
Maybe its my body but I don't have to ram things THAT far up to feel my cervix! ( and now I sound like I do that kind of thing often  )
Nice Avvy btw Mel !

Rach - :jYay pushchair!! I've had a couple of mothercare deliveries and are quite quick. One I had left with a neighbour as I wasn't in.
Wellll I've been to the midwife and now feel even more poo than before I went in:( I felt she wasn't as good as she was at my previous appointments. I nearly didn't say anything about feeling down (sorry:o) but the tears came a flowing before I left the room:o:o:o She said she can refer me to I guess a counsellor type person but to be honest I have nothing to talk about that is causing me to feel this way... apart from being pregnant!!
She thinks I'm feeling this way because it looks like Crohns is flaring up, I'm in constant pain, bubs is a naughty bugger etc etc. I'm to rest but do exercise and keep myself motivated with something. Stopping work she agreed with.
Good news: bubs isn't as giant as when I was last measured... but is still big and looks like he's gonna be tall. And I got told off for not phoning labour ward on Fri when I hadn't felt any movement for ages... oooops. Cos devil child is constantly active and doesn't seem to have a set pattern for movement I must go in when I haven't felt anything for a few hours if the usual ice cubes etc don't wake him.
Blah, blah, blah. Had enough of this pregnancy lark... I need to keep my mind off it. What can I do??? Babies and bumps are EVERYWHERE!!
I'll have to stay away from here!:p

Hi Girls
I feel like crying
Just gotten back from the midwife, had bloods taken last week and have been on iron tablets for about 2/3 weeks now - was on 3 a day but went down to 2 a day as the constipation was horrendous.
My blood results last time I had them back in (the end of) April were 9.2 and no one bothered to notify me about iron therapy so went back and got a prescription and have been on them a few weeks now and had more bloods taken last week, the results today my iron levels have DROPPED to 8.0 Hb.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
So was informed today that I cant give birth at the birthing centre like I wanted to - instead I have to go to a hospital that I've heard nothing but horror stories about. Have also been referred to a consultant who I have to go and see on Thursday morning at my local hospital.
Midwife was debating sending me for a glucose test and another scan too so now I'm pooping it that I am now under GP care and not my midwife - this pregnancy has been really hard and I only have 9 days left until my due date and now I'm scared of going into labour because my red cells are so low.
First thing I did was come home and take another iron tablet too! Plus Ive been drinking lots and I mean pints and pints of milk which I didn't realise stopped iron absorption!
has anyone else had this problem with their body just not absorbing iron??Time to find me again0 -
Hi everyone, sorry to hear that you are feeling depressed smartie, sending hugs.
I have been to the midwife this morning, got my hipp grant form. Midwife says baby is measuring 26 weeks, im 25 weeks today. Midwife let me listen tobaby's heart beat which was nice and when she put the droppler on my tummy to listen baby kicked the droppler twice lol.
I went to see the doctor too as my hayfever is driving me mad, its making it hard to sleep and breathe as my nose is bunged up most of the time. He was really nice and understanding. He gave me a perscription for eye drops and nasal spray.
Rach i do have a bunged up nose but thats due to hayfever, its like the run down feeling you get when you are starting to get a cold or flu.Married 09/09/090 -
Sammy... I have iron issues in a non pregnant state cos of my Crohns. 8.0 hb is high for me!!!:rotfl:
Are you a meat eater??? If so get to the butchers and buy a cow... lots of steak with a glass of orange juice. Fortified cereals with a glass of juice etc etc.
I can't say eating the right foods do much to help me but maybe will give you a good boost.BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
Waaaah! I'm bold! I really do need to get on with my to-do list of chores...ymakesmile wrote: »Seeking some advice if possible ladies?
The last couple of weeks I have had episodes of what feels like acid rising up into my throat with a horrible burning sensation (not sure if this is what acid reflux is?) I'm guessing eating too much or acidic foods would not help this and that it's probably the lack of room in my tummy that has brought it about but I'm getting it more frequently now and it makes me feel horridI'm having to go to bed sucking on a mint to get to sleep but then I wake up a couple of hours later with the feeling right back again. It normally starts off in the evening and is gone by morning but this morning I have even woken up with it. Any suggestions on anything I can do to ease it? Thanks girls
Oh yes, lovely reflux/heartburn - I've had it for the last 20 weeks and it's a killer. The last month or so it's even made me wake up and be physically sick through the night - not fun!
The foods you eat do have an effect but would you believe it or not, I can sit and dip breadsticks in balsamic vinegar for hours and be fine, but give me a desert spoon of coleslaw and it kills me!
Eating little and often works and not too late before going to bed. I sometimes find that sucking hard sweets helps a bit too but it's really only a temporary fix (and not good for your teeth!). Try sleeping propped up on lots of pillows and drinking milk. Other than that, there's medication you can take but I've managed to avoid it because I hate the taste of Gaviscon!Does anyone have any experience of mothercare delivery? I am wondering whether their 4 day estimate is right and wondering whether to pay £8 for named day delivery or stick with normal.
mine appeared a day early. Just a warning with Mothercare delivery though. DHL have a contract with them to attempt delivery 3 times - though the DHL driver won't always write this on your card and instead says that your parcel has been returned to the depot. I tried to pick it up from the depot, only to find out that the delivery man had gone to my door again - was highly unimpressed!
re: washing clothes, I've washed all mine and like to wash my own clothes too unless I really want to wear something that day! You never know whos sticky paws have been all over them, plus the state of the factories they're made in (anyone ever watched Blood, Sweat and Luxuries before?!)0 -
Rach - i have found Mrthercars 4 day delivery time to be generous and it usually arrives in 2-3 days.
Ymakesmile - that is heartburn/acid reflux. Gaviscon is you friendI found triggers ofr mine, apple juice especially.
my scan is at 2:30 and i mihgt be going alone. OH couldn't get time off and he is a lorry driver. he is on the lightest route possible instead but is 90 minutes drive away and my appointment is in 2 hours. Stressed is not the word.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -

i have been anaemic on and off since I had Ben but cant understand how I'm taking the pills I was prescribed and its still going down! and now i cant have her where i want im most :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
have just made a list of iron rich foods now - that I know I'll eat so planning to gorge myself on those between now and Thursday and will do so until little miss puts in an appearance - only 9 days though so don't know how helpful it will be!
Plus I am going to go back on 3 iron tablets a day, figure the consequences of that one wont be nice but if it helps give mummy a healthy boost and my princess in the process then I will gladly suffer it!
Stupid thing is because I had grown again since I was last measured my midwife was debating another scan for me and now I have to see the doctor on Thursday so might end up having one after all - she thinks there might be too much water or something ?
right off to the shop with the following list - beef mince, eggs, broccoli, lettuce, cucumber, strawberries, potatoes, raisins, baked beans, wholemeal bread and orange juice.
also been put on a ban so no tea / coffee (that's not a problem as I cant stand it since Xmas) coke or pepsi / milk unless its on cereal and even then it has to be minimal.
Needing some stay put vibes now though even though I've been asking for labour ones all week!Time to find me again0
