Congratulations CAFC, Landon is gorgeous:D
Off to bed now, I have been seriously on and off the loo all day/night....it is driving me mad now. Also I phoned the docs this morning, as the thrush just isn't clearing up despite trying the yoghurt method, and a few days of using 2% canestan cream!!! It is the internal symptoms and all the discharge that is making it linger, so got a phone appt today and have been given a pessary now...just hope I don't go into labour overnight, poor baby will come out with a half dissolved pessary stuck to it's head;) I am keen to get this sorted before baby is born as I had it a teeny bit when having ds2 and it passed to him, he had thrush in his mouth for the first few weeks, poor thing was so uncomfortable with it:(
P.s I would definitely go for that Angelcare monitor, I got mine for ds3 (now 15mths) and will be using the same one for the new babe....am going to get a cheap set to put in with him, as I need to hear him quickly if he does wake, so I can get in there before he wakes the older boys!!
I have a feeling this baby will make an appearance soon, I am so restless, can't sleep/sit/eat/anything and am getting all sorts of twinges low down!! Maybe wrong, but I feel funny. Maybe I should finalise packing my birth bag, in case of transfer to hosp, and so everything is together for dh and the midwives even if I stay at home:)

It's midnight, technically the 22nd of June, my due date! So baby, where are you?!
In all honesty though, he can stay put for a day or two, I've got more cooking to do for the freezer tomorrow!
Main point in popping in was to let folk know that Lansinoh lanolin cream is on offer at Boots just now at £7.49 instead of £9.99. Got mine earlier on, the stuff is great, but sososo expensive so any money off is great in my book
Hope everyone is well and congrats to CAFC.

When fabric is woven it is done so on dirty greasy machine, in dirty smelly factories, possibly filled with smoking/nonw too hygienic employees. The threads are pulled through wax and starch to make them weave better. they are dyed or bleached so residue of this does remain.. which is why colours run when they are new etc..
They are packaged in dirty smelly factories and shipped all over the world in goodness knows what condition.. hung in shops where people maul them and try them on....
Yes it is VITAL to wash them.. do you want all that filth on your new baby?
I wash everything before it is worn... unless desperate I wash my stuff too!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Redmel sorry about this buts its just another suggestion re the thrush as its so warm at the moment and heat and moisture can aggrivate it do you have a skirt you can wear at home and go bottomless for a bit whilst your there its amazing how fresh air can help. :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Mel - I was told that you're not suppose to use a pessary in the last few weeks of pregnancy as it can break the waters.unless that's what you want. My midwife told me , my doctor didn't know about it.
My thrush was more on the outside than in when I had thrush and it cleared up quickly. Poor you , Hope you sort it soon

Ps got a stinky bum to change too and then the school run, it never stops but I love it!0 -
Happy due date Esio!
re washing baby clothes, if clothes are imported they often have pesticide sprayed on them too to stop any flea's and bugs being imported in the garments. I would say it is definitely worth washing them. However as I have a lot of second hand things, I have washed all of those and left my new stuff (plain vests and grows) in their packets in case I can take them back to swap for next size up. With my DD I mainly washed it all but on the odd occasion of the washing not being dry I did open a new packet and put some straight on her and no visible signs of irritation.
Ha my DD is cracking me up!!She has nicknamed my gym ball Alan for some reason and is pushing it around my room saying "Come on Alan, let's go Alan, come for a walk!" I fear she may have inherited my obscure imagination!
ETA- redmel, I found what cleared my thrush up really quickly (but is a pain to do) was every time I went to the loo, I would wash myself with water and then use a hairdryer to dry my bits, in this hot weather it stops the bacteria spreading so quickly.0 -
Congrats CAFC :j:j:j

I have just opened a letter from the hospital following my unexpected trip there on Wednesday it seems that the swab test they did has shown up that I have Group B Streptococcus.:eek::eek:

Only if you poke the applicator up the cervix.. a MW said this to me and the obs. said she was talking out of her bum!
the natural motion is to push things out of the vagina the pessary would barely get through the lower cervix... That is why sperm have to be self propelling otherwise they'd never get in there!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
