tinks I think alot of people do test positive for strep b but I have no experience myself, did they not send a leaflet through with info on. I think antibiotics may need to be given to the baby after birth if it gets passed over but sometimes its fine but I'm not 100%. Said I wasn't 100%, antibiotics given during labour.

    Thanks Merfe :j

I am glad someone is with it Fuzz.. I didn't even consider with your rent Rach that I dont even earn £900 in a month!! Lol.

lol, obviously as sir monster says rent is more but of course so are salaries...though not quite that much more sadly!!

We are hoping to buy soon as we've saved really hard and now have a decent deposit, just depends if they will lend based on my full or mat pay...dh is looking into it. Can't get much around here for under a quarter of a million though!!

I am really nauseous this morning :( not sure why, perhaps overtired. I am working up to phoning my friend to say we can't go to the wedding, I know now I'm not up to driving. I feel sad as I won't see friends but it's just too much for one day, even if we stayed over I think it would be!

Seeking some advice if possible ladies?
The last couple of weeks I have had episodes of what feels like acid rising up into my throat with a horrible burning sensation (not sure if this is what acid reflux is?) I'm guessing eating too much or acidic foods would not help this and that it's probably the lack of room in my tummy that has brought it about but I'm getting it more frequently now and it makes me feel horrid :( I'm having to go to bed sucking on a mint to get to sleep but then I wake up a couple of hours later with the feeling right back again. It normally starts off in the evening and is gone by morning but this morning I have even woken up with it. Any suggestions on anything I can do to ease it? Thanks girls :)

Mel - I was told that you're not suppose to use a pessary in the last few weeks of pregnancy as it can break the waters. ;) unless that's what you want. My midwife told me , my doctor didn't know about it.

Ps got a stinky bum to change too and then the school run, it never stops but I love it!

I thought you had left for your holibobs already:p

I didn't consider about it breaking waters, maybe I should have rammed it further up;):rotfl:

ETA- redmel, I found what cleared my thrush up really quickly (but is a pain to do) was every time I went to the loo, I would wash myself with water and then use a hairdryer to dry my bits, in this hot weather it stops the bacteria spreading so quickly.

I'm far too [STRIKE]lazy[/STRIKE] busy to do that each time:D

Only if you poke the applicator up the cervix.. a MW said this to me and the obs. said she was talking out of her bum!

the natural motion is to push things out of the vagina the pessary would barely get through the lower cervix... That is why sperm have to be self propelling otherwise they'd never get in there!

:rotfl: What a shame, ah well I still have the applicator, maybe I should give it a good poke;):D

Re - Washing clothes, I do wash new baby clothes but only until maybe 6mths old then stop bothering as much, between 6mths-1yr I also change them over to our washing powder....

Had a bit of a thing with dh this morning!! Too stupid to even go into but the result is i'm not talking to him:( I feel lonely now, but I am far too stubborn to back down:cool: It will probably resolve itself by the end of the day!

    xx

Congrats CAFC!!!! Stick with BF if thats what youve got your heart set on, Im BF'ing Jake and it took a while especially for him to latch onto the left but now he is guzzling away as good as the right side :):)

Quick question/advice - Im wanting to express so my OH can feed little un and also if Im out I can feed him instead of lobbing my boob out in public:) but not sure how to go about it as I want to continue to BF or should I do one or the other exclusively??? I can suffer from an engorged, lumpy right boob and dont want to make it worse if doing both????
Opinions are like ar*eholes - everybody has one!!!! :D

sorry to hear that mel, always a pain when not speaking!

Does anyone have any experience of mothercare delivery? I am wondering whether their 4 day estimate is right and wondering whether to pay £8 for named day delivery or stick with normal. I'm home friday morning and sat we can be around, but even with named could it come anytime? Do you know if you can collect instore? When I ahve a lunchbreak I am going to order the pushchair :D

I have never washed brand new baby clothes, only second hand ones and I don't use any different powder for the kids than we use, mine have never had a problem. I do like to keep the labels on the new bits just incase they grow too quickly to use it so I can swap it for a bigger one.

You can collect instore but I think you need to order through the store rather than order online and collect. If anything I have found they deliver sooner than the 4 day estimate!

    Hi

I have had this most of the way through my pregnancy (and the last one) If you nip to the docs they will try you on Gaviscon, well most likely the generic Peptac liquid, this worked for me last time and most of the way through this pregnancy too....a couple of weeks ago the gaviscon stopped working so I went back and they have now put me on Zantac tablets.....

Definitely get it on prescription though as I was drinking the stuff like water and it costs a bomb;)

    xx

Edit - Just looked at the list, I am NEXT in line to go bold.....Noooooooooooo!!!!!
