I'm still chasing my tail catching up with the housework! It's really been on the slip because it hurts me to walk by the time the school runs are done and I've been wiped out and keep falling asleep in the day
Doesn't help I cant seem to get comfy in bed, I wake up 6 - 7 times a night
anyone else have this?
I took OH out for lunch, but only because we had a voucher for dads eat free at a local pub chain, and 500 bonus nectar points!
To whoever mentioned bag packing: I've packed my pjs, dressing gown etc (OH kindly bought me new ones specially) and the clothes and things for baby, just need to get some toiletries together. I'm 28 weeks or thereabouts and my bag has been packed for weeks!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Thanks rach, are you absolutely positive the windeze are ok. One of the girls I work with asked the pharmacist today and he said there was nothing you can take, I can check the pack tomorrow and pick some up. Its gone for the minute now but I'm sure it'll be back, thing is I've been alot less windy than normal that's why I think its really trapped wind if it makes sense.
Pharmacist asked how far along I was and when I said nearly 16 weeks that's nearly 4 months I realised wow its nearly half way. Hopefully hear about the next scan soon.
Delain last night was the first night I slept through for ages and I don't think it's going to last, I got 9:30pm til 6:30 am. I normally wake around 3am for a wee can't get back to sleep then DS wakes up at 5am grrrr, but he didnt this morning yay. I think its really common someone came into work today wanting something to help her sleep but she was pregnant so needs to go to the doctors.0 -

Our best muslins are the ones I got from Asda/Tesco- gave them all 3 washes each.
We have about 25, which isn't enough for us, but we, like pigpen, use them for everything with Alex- wiping up dribble and sick, occasionally stuffing nappies, as a sheet under/over him when it is warm, as a makeshift hat (he looks like a shepherd in a school nativity)... everything.
10+5 today and all is good. Got our 'dating scan' appointment through yesterday- I will be 14+6 when its done, so not so happy about that, but I guess it is the best they can do and at least I have had a scan for reassurance, even though we did pay for it. Will be really unhappy if they decide I then can't have one at 20 (our PCT has been looking at changing to one scan at 15-17 weeks) and will get midwife to fight our case as Alex has a birth defect so we want the detailed scan done as late as possible so they have the best chance of picking anything up.
More than a quarter of the way there now- it isn't really sinking in. I just don't feel very hungry and I have a real adversion to lots of food, but no sickness as such, which is good. I would have trouble believing it was happening again if it wasn't for the scan pictures and the tiny heartbeat I can find with my doppler. Need to start making a list of all of the stuff I need to buy duplicates for when I have 2 babies!!!
Oh, and I have new nappies to try one they are dry from their prewash... I am v happy today
PS- Vibes to CG... get a move on, Alex wants to meet you and your yellow sprout for a hot chocolate!!!:jMummy to 2 small 4 year old bundles of mischief!:j0 -

I seem to wake up just uncomfortable and then struggle to move at all to get to a better position!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

.
I hate that the months and weeks dont add up! Im a few days off 20 weeks, which is 5 months...so I think "great, only 4 months to go". But its not, its another 5 months and im only half way0 -
Convent- yay for this being it! Hope it's nice and easy for you.
Samandona, it is confusing isn't it. I think it's cos a 'month' is worked out as being 4.3 'weeks', whereas most of us would probably just average it at 4.
I have not packed my hospital bag, which is naughty, but, I have no bag, and nothing to put in it as yet. OH was slightly disturbed when I said knowing me I'd wind up bunging everything into a reuasable shopping bag, so think I need to find something a bit more suitable. They work on a 6 hour discharge here, so hopefully I won't need to much stuff anyway. 37 weeks tomorrow though, so better get my butt in gear!

Pigpen & Fernlie - thanks for your advice!
Xmas - great news about your OH's job:T
Kitkat - lucky vibes to your OH for getting a new job.
Redrose - I'm 28 weeks and not only have I not packed a bag yet I don't even have everything I need to go in it! But then I've never been an organised person - I guess I'll have to get better at that!:p
Delain -I've never been the type to sleep straight through so its normal for me to wake a lot in the night, but I'm struggling to get comfortable and have a niggle in my back which seems to be getting worse even though I do the recommended sleeping with pillows bit.0 -
thanks pigpen I'll get some tomorrow at work or if I go shopping.
I'm counting my months as every 4 weeks, I'll probably only get to 38 weeks max before they'll want to cut the baby out so don't have to wait quite as long as some of you ladies. But yeah Ona you are right it doesn't quite add up right, that's why they always stick to counting the weeks and why I hadn't realised the months that have actually passed.
I really need to get my coursework done before I go on maternity leave, I've 2 modules left, then they send me the NVQ part which I have to do 6 parts of and each takes around a month I do not have enough time for this eeekkk.0 -
Hi everyone, went to mothercare today and bought two tankini's one was reduced to six pounds and one to eight pounds, which i thought was very good. I have tried them on and now feel like a beach whale. I have weighted myself too which didn't help and i have put on 20lb im 24 weeks and 5 days, feel like i have put on too much.
Also iam constipated and don't now how to sort this out.
I have hayfever and its driving me mad, i saw the doctor this week to see if i could take something for it and for my asthma, he gave me an another inhaler for my asthma but nothing for my hayfever. At first he said it was ok to take periton and then when he looked it up he said you can't take it in pregnancy, to be honest he wasn't much help and not the normal doctor i see. At my doctors you have to ring at eight in the morning to get an appointment so makes it harder to get to see the doctor who i normally see. Does anyone take anything for their hayfever. Im fed up of my nose been blocked and sniffing and sneezing and my eyes get itchy.
Thats great news about your oh job.Married 09/09/090
