Does anyone know aything about hiatus hernia's in pregnancy?

I 'think' I can feel the top of my uterus just under my belly button but my bump starts much further up with a 'sticky out bit' just above my belly button - over said navel I go in just slightly.

I also feel bloated quite a lot in that area and the 'sticky out bit' it quite hard to the touch.

Hope that makes some kind of sense!!

Hi everyone, just found this thread and thought I would say hello, I am currently 19+3 weeks pregnant and very excited! We have our 20wk scan on Thursday and are hoping to find out :female::male:

If anyone knows of any good freebies/baby clubs please let me know! (Already joined Tesco, Sainsburys, Boots)

Your tummy muscles separate during pregnancy so the fat lump you are growing has room.. it is probable it is just this gap you can feel.. If you lie down and tense your tummy muscles (I can't do this) and do a kind of almost situp you will be abel to feel the edges of the muscles and the gap in between.. you know that sore tearing sensation you get around your navel.. this is what is happening... and no they don't reattach after the birth!

Xmas - As others have said, it is most likely that they will say you're are anaemic, this is always the bloods that I get told I am. I wouldn't take those evil iron tablets either, but if you can then buy Spatone....it is fabulous, it does not mess with you digestive system/bowels AT ALL....just doesn't taste great, but I put mine in either fresh orange or ribena and it disguises the taste:)

Had a yummy brekkie of pickled onion monster munch and a chocolate digestive:o

You can get Spatone prescribed by GP too. Mine offered it me the other day.

I take Sytron liquid though instead. Doesn't upset my tummy at all.
Give me the boy until he's seven and i'll give you the man.

Last night I half sat up in bed to rub some of my (lovely) new sanctuary bump oil on and it was so weird, you could really see and feel a hard round lump - the head i think - right above my navel - I think the baby had moved itself around! I've never yet experienced it at such an obvious bit of baby sticking out!

Am taking the church service this morning, not sure I'll manage to stand for the whole hour but will do my best! MiL is coming with me and driving which is good, then lunch at theirs after so no need to cook today
