I stupidly had a small glass of wine last night and bubs has been so quiet ever since :( feel so silly and hope I haven't done any harm. I guess it's probably that I've been busy and not noticed and its always most active at night before bed, but still.

    Don't be such a 'nana...

We all have days where we are less active than others.. I bet you will be back to complaining about sore ribs, bruised bladder and not a moments peace in a day or two.. Mine has a couple of quiet days every now and then but it never lasts.

It is possible the baby's position has changed too so the wriggles are in a different place to normal .. you have fewer nerves in your back or the kicking may be on the placenta which would mean you would feel less. My placenta is on the front so feeling kicks took some time.

Go sit down for half an hour and see what happens.. if you get nothing try a fizzy or very cold drink.. or an ice lolly or ice cream.. it ALWAYS sets mine off!

Ive been lurking for a while, but thought Id say hello.

Im stuck at home and feeling really down and need some cheering up. Hubby is away working at the minute and im finding even the easiest jobs hard work, and you can forget the hoovering paying my 6 year old per room and he's actually doing a really good job. (may as well get him to do something for all thoses match attax stickers he scams out of me lol!)

Has anyone suffered from a really sensitive tummy. Around my belly button its really sore and sensitive and I know I havent knocked it.

Well done to all the girls who have recently given birth I still feel im having anything but a baby and i already have two.

Still havent organised my babybag. I really need to get motivated but im feeling so low, Ive got so much to do but just dont have the energy, even having a bath I have to lie down for half an hour afterwards.

Im on team yellow at the minute, as I didnt want to spoil the surprise Im excited one minute and really anxious the next, please tell me this is normal it seems forever since I last give birth.

Looking forward to getting to know you all better, and take my mind of whats coming lol!

Gosh this first post sounds such a moan, sorry
    Lots of love

Pigpen - sounds like a nightmare day! Please try and relax (probably impossible if kids and cats are being PITAs) I'm sure bubs isn't a mistake, you're just stressed out. Take care - get someone to make you a cuppa!

Hi newbies - yikes KT at 11months difference, you'll definately need good toddler wrangling skills! :D

Come on all you naughty overdue babies!!!!

I think the nesting bug has bitten me. We're a bit messy, but not dirty - but I'm seeing dust everywhere atm. I had to polish the doors and dust behind the radiators earlier. We also built bubs wardrobe - sproglet actually has better furniture than us!

Bexta.. I can't get them to make me a cuppa.. I am sulking and not talking to anyone! lol

Jay.. yes .. see my whinging post above.. it is all quite normal.. sore button is due to the muscles separating as you get bigger.. I find loads of moisturiser works.. dunno why but it does! It could be the massage I guess. We were doing bag packing yesterday.. you should have joined us!

Pigpen, just scowl a lot in that case :p

Jay Jay, you're teaching your lad an important life skill getting him to hoover :D How far along are you?

I keep bashing my belly button on things, cos it seems to be kind of level with the kitchen counters (spend far too much of my time looking for my next edibles)

Pigpen, thanks for the reassurance. Ive decided to go into town tomorrow morning after school run and going get some bits for my bag, Ive been shamed into it by all you organised ladies.

On the drink front my midwife told me it was perfectly safe to have the odd glass of wine, as long as it is only the odd glass so I wouldnt worry to much. A warm bath always encourages a few kicks from my little bump it might be worth a try and it least it might help you relax a little more

All weekend i have had really bad back pain, and now on the right side just above my bikini line i am feeling a like throbbing pain. Its not an unbearable pain but it is uncomfortable, i dont want to phone the hospital because i just think theyll tell me my uterus is expanding.

Should i be concerned? I am 12+4 and had a 9weeks scan and arent due another scan til Aug- my 20 week?

Im due the 7th July but my others were induced so im kind of expecting the same of this one. Would really love to go naturally although have strict instructions to keep legs crossed until Wednesday when hubby gets home. Have had bad griping pains all afternoon like period pains and got my self all worked up but I think it was down to hubby being away and feeling cross with him for not being here :o(

Kataratarina if you have concerns I would definately call midwife in the morning, and trust your instinct. Its probably nothing at all to worry about but if iit is making you worry at least she can put your mind a rest.

Thanks everyone, I am sure I'm being silly. I had wondered if it had moved position too, thanks pigpen. I am just having a drink of ginger beer with ice in to see if that helps but no point worrying anyway. It is usually most active when I go to bed as I lie there for a while stroking bump etc :)

pigpen - you will be ok, you have so much on at the moment but once the baby is here you won't think it's a mistake. I honestly don't know how you do it - I am exhausted and I don't have any kids to look after.

I think I am going to have some toast and head to bed. This weekend has gone far too quickly for my liking.

  • I phoned the midwife there and she said its normal; its just the ligament that supports my uterus is expanding alongwith my bowels etc being squashed. she said to take paracodols to take the edge off and drop a urine sample into my doc 2m to rule out an infection. Keep drinking cranberry juice and fluids. So my minds at ease now- was kinda hoping she wouldve told me to call over for a quick scan :(
