Can i ask a silly question... i have been looking at prams over the last few weeks, so i am prepared but see if i was to buy this and use it from birth http://www.reviewcentre.com/r185717_2_Baby_Jogger_City_Mini.html

are people comfortable with having their new born lying facing out?
I am struggling to think of ever a time when ive seen a new born face out, but maybe im just being silly?

Firstly, there are no silly questions:)

Tbh it is all down to personal choice....I never feel comfortable with my newborns facing outwards until at least 3mths! I can't really put my finger on exactly why. When I do school run though, there have been a few babies born recently whose mums have them straight into outward facing pushchairs........
There you go KT and congratulations when my new babs is born there will only be 11 months between her and bubs i'm a bit apprehensive about copeing but i know i will manage thats what us moms do isnt it :-) x

    YEP:D

There will be 15mths between my youngest when this one puts in an appearance.... I had 23mths between my eldest two, but they are a little bit older now (7&9) so it makes things a little easier as they are so much more independant, well apart from the fact they are boys;):p

I agree actually, it was when they were both running riot as hyper tots that it was hard and stressful.....Why, oh why, am I doing it again:cool:

K has also turned into a complete handful in the last two weeks, he is climbing EVERYWHERE, on the beds, sofas, on his rocker and little sit on car...he just won't use anything correctly and inevitably ends up in tears 50% of the time!!

I am complaining a bit and am fed up of being this big, but I really will be gutted if dh is dead-set on getting the snip:(

    Hi all

have been out visiting friends all day. Was lovely to see them and the kids were really excited about the baby and kept putting their hands on my tummy! I feel v tired now though, esp after having friends around last night. I am seriously considering saying we won't go to this wedding in 2 weeks, not sure I can manage over 5 hours of driving and a wedding in one day, just not sure I'm up to it plus of course we'd save a lot of money on petrol.

Kataratarina & KT welcome, and congrats. In terms of pram, we are 99% sure we're getting a maclaren xt so baby will not be parent facing. I'm slightly sad about this but I know it will suit our lifestyle and flat best - we use public transport a lot. I do like the baby jogger city mini and will look at that but DH hates 3 wheelers!! I know smartie has bought the xt too.

IN terms of shops, we are lucky here as 2 big towns near by plus a massive out of town shopping area...but I hate shops so tend to only use my local high st unless I can help it! I sometimes go to the canary wharf shops on the way to work too but that's about it. DH is even worse so goodness knows when we'll manage to actually look at prams..think it might be a case of the xt with my nephew in it when we're up north soon! I tend to buy most stuff online but don't buy many clothes or anything anyway.

I stupidly had a small glass of wine last night and bubs has been so quiet ever since :( feel so silly and hope I haven't done any harm. I guess it's probably that I've been busy and not noticed and its always most active at night before bed, but still.

I am in a right old strop this evening.. everyone apart from DD4 has had their head chewed off or just yeeled at for stupid things.. They are not showered for school as DD1 decided to either vomit int he bath or rinsed her duvet in the bath and not clean it out.. and I can't reach it and she is big enough to do it herself!! Even 2 of the cats have felt my wrath.. one wated to eat OH's dinner and the other wanted to pi$$ up the towels on the line while I was bringing them in!

I am fed up, in pain, the BH's are driving me demented and I have REALLY had enough.. I am getting more and more anxious about having this baby and I really do think it is a big mistake in many ways.

I will no doubt be fine tomorrow (I hope) but right now I could happily run away.

Nooooo....i am bold on the list. I knew it was going to happen but seeing it is another matter :(

Well no news here. I have been working down the plot 4 5hrs today, have eaten a curry for the 2nd night in a row and nothing is happening :( just feel like this is going to go on forever especially as junior isnt engaged yet.

I have already been told that when i next see the midwife at 41 +1 (seems far to long to wait if you ask me) if junior still isnt engaged she wont be able to do sweep or anything :(

    Am feeling very frustrated tonight

    Oh well.

Labour vibes to all my fellow bold girlies

    xx

They say 1-2 units once or twice a week, so if this is all you've had I doubt you've really done any damage. Perhaps the wine has made the baby a little sleepier than usual? Or, as you say, perhaps you just haven't noticed because you've been busy.

If you're really worried that activity has dropped speak to your mw, but I doubt very much it's because of anything you've done.

OH has just reminded me that ours sometimes goes quiet for a day or 2 when it seems to be having a growth spurt, and then it starts being active again.
