Please forgive me today. I'm in a bad mood, pg hormones are a raging, I had cramp all night... and I shall be a ranting if I feel the need to!
MY BABY WILL BE STRAIGHT INTO OUTWARD FACING PUSHCHAIR
As Rach as said, I have the Techno XT.... and :eek::eek: my baby is going to feel unloved, hate me etc etc cos he won't be facing me!!! I have failed as a mother already;)
Seriously though... how long will a baby be lying in his pram whilst being pushed around??? 12 hours?? No! And from past experience (yes I am already a mum and DS DOESN'T HATE ME, HAVE MENTAL ISSUES and is actually a very brilliant young man:)) babies sleep in pram whilst being pushed around so wont even see mummy and daddy!!
When my little bean is not in pushchair he'll be so fed up with looking at my ugly mug (whilst being cuddled, fed, in bouncer, moses basket etc etc) I think he'll be happy to have a change of scenery whilst in pushchair.
So sorry people will think I have failed as mother cos I won't be looking at my baby's face 24/7:o
Can you tell who devil child has inherited the horns from??;):D
My two went staight intp forward facing pushchairs and seem none the worse for it. With ds (7) there wasn't that much choice of parent facing pushchairs in our price range. With dd (5) we had a Phil & Teds so not only was she forward facing she was in a cocoon, under her brothers seat with nothing to look at and no-one knew she was there :rotfl:.
This time we have a parent facing pushchair.0 -
oooh, smartie sounds like a bad night!
had a crappy journey in - signalling probs on route so the 22 min train journey part took over 40 mins. I was almost sickNow I'm here I feel like I don't know what to do with myself. I feel like a poorly zombie. Someone has already been over and said I look peaky! Think I may have just enough money for a pastry so if the trolley doesn't come around soon I may nip up to the canteen and get one and make a cuppa to go with it

Delain and smartie Im sat here laughing so much over you two.
Delain at being embarrased and Smartie at getting out of bed the wrong side! lol i thought you was serious at first shouting!
Tinkwings Hugs to you. Your poor DD, I hope she's ok and hope your Dad is too.0 -
Welcome & Huge Congrats to all the New Babies :j
I am in work and not knowing what to do with myselfMy Daughter had an accident in the kitchen yesterday and has burnt her hand eye lid & face and today my dad is having an operation
I am feeling very scared and stressed.
On a lighter note I did the wedding ring on thread over the bump test it was the freakest thing EVERIf I held the thread away from me it would hand still as soon as I put it over my bump it went into circles.............. I so really can't wait to find out what flavour it really is:rotfl::rotfl:
Oh Tink, how awful for you. I hope both make speedy recoveries!
Does it have to be a wedding ring and does it have to be mine? My baby is illigitimate :A:rotfl:Closest I have is a cat collar
I did that chinese predictor thing that goes off your age and month of conception and that said boy - which is what we think it is. We said we didn't want to know for the scan but I think I might have caught a glimpse of "blue bits". It's perfectly possible I was wrong though!
I had a terrible moment of weekness yesterday In Mr T's as I just HAD to buy a set of 2 "peek a boo Roo" sleepsuits as they were SO cute, and unisex. It was £9 for the set which is ridiculous and I felt like such a muppet shelling out so much money but once I'd seen them I just had to buy. I think my emotions had gone a bit wonky. I even wanted to get newborn so it could be baby's first outfit in the hospital but managed to at least buy the next size up I figured if I have a 9lber newborn would be a total waste, as opposed to just quite an expensive treat.Bellymonkey due 25/09/10 :j0 -

Scan yesterday went well, bubs is very healthy and normal and measurements are spot on, although bubs' legs are measuring 21+5 at 19+5!!! Think i might be a tall 'un..thank god:D don't want it to be a shortie like me:o
Anyhoo, bubs wasn't playing ball when it came to pics BUT sonographer did manage to get 1 decent piccie which should be below:D:D its a cute one (IMO:o) and not at all demon like;):p:rotfl: Oh and was lying on its stomach hiding it's modesty and refusing to budge so even if wanted to know the sex it probably wouldn't have let us know..stubborn little get:p:D
Appropriate vibes to those in need, especially all the overdue ladies:D:D
Have a great weekend all xxxx

I am being serious;):p
I do get fed up with comments on here about "things that aren't good for baby".... cos I seem to be the one that does all those things!!:rotfl:
....and yes I'm NOT breastfeeding!!!:eek::eek: Amazingly I have the full support of my midwife who agreed it's best for me and bubs:) There... I've admitted it now:o I doubt I'll get much support from round here though!
Don't worry... I'm doing my flylady list soon then meeting a friend so you wont have to put up with my rants for much longer!!;):pBLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -

Well I'm a first timer and my MW is very good at saying "you do whatever you want" whenever I ask about birth options, feeding etc. It's great, but I don't know what I want, I have no clue what will be best for me and my baby. I won't know until I have a baby and I see what works. It's helpful to speak to people on here because I know I don't have to feel badly if I want to make my birth easier, or feel I can't or don't want to bf, or anything else I chose to do or not do with MY baby. So, thanks.
Having said that, I'm hoping for a medical intervention free birth as much as possible, and breastfeeding, and I have a parent facing pram but !!!!!! do I know???!! :rotfl::pBellymonkey due 25/09/10 :j0 -
Don't worry about it.
Half the time things get lost in translation on here anyway and the things some people say on this site in general I cringe at. I stopped worrying a long time ago over what people think.
As Mel said it's a personal choice thing and there isn't a right or wrong way when it comes to babies as long as there loved, fed and watered.0 -
Rach sorry you had a carp journey in to work, hope you enjoy your pastry!!! I also was up at 5:30 feeling bubs moving about but thankfully I could have a lie in so just got up. Had reflux all last night so glad to have a lie in. I am planning on going to mothercare tomorrow or wednesday, (and Ikea/toysrus) to look at cots and pushchairs (to check I've made the right choice) so I will let you know what the selection is like.
Smartie and all re pushchairs I think this is all a personal choice, whatever suits your own situation. I will be getting a mummy/daddy facing one but this is due to my first time mummy paranoia. Hope you feel better xxThomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces
